Re: The non-existence of milk
I cannot logically prove that milk does not exist at all.
Or that the Flood of Noah never happened.

Re: The non-existence of milk
Of course I haven't seen it as an EvC topic that evolutionists claim to have proven the nonexistence of Thor and his great work, as they so illogically do the Flood. The nonexistence of which Great Work of Thor's, you are right, is equally unprovable.

...and has just as much independently verifiable positive evidence for it as the Noachian Flood.
Well, I see evidence everywhere for the Flood, everywhere on the planet, so I must disagree with you about this. You know, all those fossils, all those layers of various sediments etc.

I've argued it in many places and I don't know if I did the best job of it on this thread.

Re: The non-existence of milk
Look around, do you see layers of sediments in your area, are there fossils in your area?

Non-existence of milk/Flood/Thor/Lasagne
Faith, there is as much evidence for what I shall call the Theory of Marinara as there is for the Flood.
I'm quite surprised at you for this lapse in logic. There are in fact fossils and layers, and they aren't layers of marinara and lasagne noodles and bits.

Re: Non-existence of milk/Flood/Thor/Lasagne
If the Flood had happened, we'd expect to find certain things that are consistent with the flood, things like a great jumble of fossils, instead of a neat top to bottom ordering of species. Just, you know, dinosaurs on top of humanoid remains, that sort of thing. And the trouble is: we don't find such evidence. So the Flood is an unlikely scenario. Just as unlikely as the Theory of Marinara. However sumptuous the latter may be.
The layers themselves, the great numbers of fossils themselves, trump the whole bit about ordering. In themselves they are fantastic evidence for the flood and ridiculously incompatible with the notion of slow deposition over millions of years.
And "we don't find such evidence" is the same thing as claiming to prove a negative. Doesn't work. "What you'd expect to find" is hardly on the level of scientific data.

Re: Non-existence of milk/Flood/Thor/Lasagne
But the devil is in the details, so you have it precisely backwards - it's the Flood-inconsistent ordering that trumps the layers and the large numbers of fossils being evidence for the flood. The specific disproves the general, not the other way around.
But the ordering is not necessarily a problem for the flood. Most of it is consistent with it -- marine life in the lower layers, land animals in the upper layers for instance. And since the layers themselves and the fossils themselves are consistent with a worldwide flood explanation and not at all with a slow deposition explanation, this puts the preponderant weight of evidence on the side of the flood.

Re: Non-existence of milk/Flood/Thor/Lasagne
That's not the ordering, though.
What I said about the ordering is true. End of off-topic discussion.

Re: Faith's ordering
You guys are off topic or otherwise I might have more to say on the topic. Thank you at least for acknowledging that what I did say was correct.

Re: Faith's ordering
Oh well I guess we go off-topicking on.
So you prefer the Standard Explanation about the ordering. That doesn't make what I said false.

And to all of you: Alas, the bad faith and self delusion that is in evidence on this thread is on the part of those who deny the one true God, on whose revelation I base my contentions about the Flood.

Re: Nice that you know
You have been shown many, many times that there is a ton of evidence against the flood and almost none for it.
You CANNOT prove a negative.
The evidence for it is simply currently co-opted to other purposes, but there is plenty of it.

Irrelevant what the "general consensus" is -- and that's just conjecture on your part -- talking about ME instead of the topic is an ad hominem, and especially making my supposed failings the gist of the argument ABOUT the topic -- VERY bad form.
