Hey folks, In the aftermath of the horrible space shuttle deaths this morning, it is nice to see the outpouring of sentiment from around the world. Humanity can be a wonderful thing. Having said that, my wife said that she saw a report which stated that Sadam Hussein has attributed the tragedy to Allah punishing the USA and vindicating his regime, etc. Did any of you catch this story? Anyone have any more information on just exactly what he said? If this guy did say such a stupid thing, then I am half compelled to withdraw any moderating voice I have previously shared. Maybe we ought to go take this bastard out. If he said this, he has no business in the company of mankind, with or without proof positive of WMD. Sometimes you just shoot the rabid dog to clean up the neighborhood. (I am very mad about all this...so perhaps I shouldn't speak right now. Then again, I feel better for having said it. Not very Christian, huh?) -Shiloh

Shilo, I looked all over for any article containing any such comments made by Saddam but came up empty. I can't say if he did or didn't say those words, however he did express condolences over the 9/11 without any "told ya so" overtones, so I think you can still cling to your moderate stance for now.

Dear All, I said what I said and I am what I am. The Drudge Report has the full story. But as usual everyone is lying on me. I don't have WMD and I love only good things to happen to Americans. I am very saddened by your loss today. I can't say the same to Israel though. That pig jew on board deserved to die. That's what you Americans get for tainting yourself with human dung.

It wasn't Saddam Hussein, it was Abu Hamza al-Masri - a fundamentalist cleric living in London, banned from preaching at the controversial Finsbury Park Mosque as he is rabidly anti-western. Why he hasn't been deported I have no idea. Take a look here [This message has been edited by DaveF, 02-04-2003]

That is why I don't like Islamic fundamentalism. Nor do I trust them, ever. ------------------ What is intelligence without wisdom?

That is a moronic thing to say. Of course, I recall Falwell and pals claiming that 9/11 was the result of God punishing us for homosexuality and such. Guess it all depends on the messenger, eh?

So who do you think our enemies are? Who crashed those planes on 9/11/2001? I'm not talking about Muslims in general, I'm talking about the fundamental wackos who follow the doctrine of persecuting non-believers arbitrarily to the letter.

This is an aimless criticism that has no barring on what I stated.

No, you're just a naive idiot. Take your slander and smear tactics elsewhere. ------------------ What is intelligence without wisdom?

England's anti-death penalty laws won't allow them to get rid of him. I don't agree at all but I don't make foreign laws.
