As you surmised, the number of participants is larger, potentially much larger. It depends upon how many members are granted access to [forum=-37].
Unlike the Great Debate forum, there will be much less moderation, or at least that's what we hope. The forum will in effect be moderated by only allowing access to those who prove able to take a successfully constructive approach.
I'm going to request of moderators that they not grant themselves access though their normal member account. By this I mean that I should not grant Percy access to [forum=-37]. If I request access through the
Showcase Forum Issues and Requests thread, and if one of the other moderators feels I might satisfy the criteria, only then should I be granted access. And of course I could lose it at any time, not necessarily because I did something wrong, but perhaps my approach just isn't playing well with the primary contributors being showcased.
