um. kidnapping it is not. see, usually we call these "prisoners of wor" but no one is half decent enough to give pallestine the dignity to hold such things as official terminology. they are a country, they have a government, they have infrastructure. but, israel doesn't like them so they aren't given the right to these and the recognition of it. they say it's because the pallestinians refuse to recognize israel as a country. i say it's the other way around.and an act of war is a relative thing. it depends on who is acted against and how tightly their panties are bunched.

The militant Islamic Hezbollah has essentially taken over the Lebanese government and holding the nation hostage to it's militant power. No doubt many Lebanese welcome this action by Israel to either significantly diminish the Hezbollah which has it's own private army in Lebanon and has significant infiltration into the Lebanon army according to interviews of people who seem to know featured on Fox News today. Threre are allegedly hundreds of Iran's Red Guard in Lebanon with sophisticated missles and other missles enabling Hezbollah to put up a significant resistance to Israel.The Israeli ambassador to the US interviewed on Fox says Israel is not backing off until Hezbollah is removed from South Lebanon, so this war may last some time. Again, the atrocities have been initiated by Islamic terrorist factions and not Israel which has little choice if they are to survive as a nation, having Hamas in Gaza and Hezbolla in Lebanon supported and armed by both Syria and Iran.

how many islamic people do you know? the ones i know don't seem to be calling for the death of jews and christians, or conquest of the world. christianity called for similar things for many years, as i'm sure you remember. if it's set off by multiple religions, but not all members of that religion think like this, then it's really hard to establish a causal relationship.right now, most terrorists are islamic, yes. but that does not mean that all terrorism is caused by islam, or even that any terrorism is caused by islam. rather, it's a tool that is being used to convince people. what do you propose we do with the palestinians, since they're all jew-hating terrorists? i think the person who makes gross and damning generalizations about entire groups of people and faiths has no conscience. but maybe that's just me.
