This is an absolutely fascinating sci-fi read that traces a gentical lineage from Cretaceous primates to modern humans to the end of life on Earth. It takes a "day in the life of" approach which is really fascinating. While I disagree with much of his speculation about things past and present, I found this to be a book I thought about ALOT after reading it. I am teaching a class next semester called "Introduction to Human Evolution" and am making this book required reading.
