I'm lurking at the moment but couldn't let this one pass.What on earth is the point of a peanut gallery*, the top three threads in that forum are:1) Racist Darwin - last post: 7 days ago2) Creationist theory - last post: 21 days ago3) [Sic]Transubspeciation - last post 24 days agoMaybe you should concentrate on debating the people who join you there in such a way they don't just give up and leave you to it?* Well of course the answer to that is obvious, it's an end run around your ban in the main forums, like your attempts to debate in the book nook.Edited by CK, : fixed broken formating code

All you do is take potshots at me from the distant security of a Forum where Darwinian Mods are ready to rescue you anytime logic, argument or facts have you pinned down.I have been a good sport by accepting Showcase incarceration, the same has no sting since it is easily explained when one remembers that I am a Creationist and EvC is controlled by Darwinists.I have been banned by Creationist boards, again, there is no sting when one remembers that the Creationists were Creationists of the Fundamentalist stripe.Why don't you put your intellect where your mouth is and visit me sometime ? If you take the Richard Dawkins or Quetzal approach of refusing to debate with Creationists then, like Dawkins, you run the risk of objective persons viewing the boycott as really motivated by the inability to refute.If you decline and really don't care then why all the potshots ?Why don't you author a PNT for Showcase ?Ray

I think the Showcase, however we dress it up, is just a rather cruel and shameful place for mentally ill people to be placed for the rest of the board to point and laugh. I've seen nothing so far to show me that's not the case. Some of the best posters on the board have been in there and it's pretty shameful stuff - it's like letting a university Prof. visit an asylum and then we all cheer when he out debates a man who's not mentally capable of producing a rational response. I'm increasingly baffled why such a state of affairs is allowed to go on - I suspect the low posting rate allows it to float under the radar of many people.To be blunt I don't think you should be allow into the main boards for your own protection - it just would just feed into your psychosis. It probably helps if I explain the reasons for the Showcase forum every now and then. It's pretty simple. Showcase is for those who have proven immune to moderation, but who many wish to debate anyway.It's probably also good idea to assess from time to time how well Showcase is working. After a fairly robust start it has pretty much petered out. The last post there was over a week ago. If would appear that much of the appeal of debating with showcased members was to tweak their nose through the bars, so to speak, because once it became clear that this wouldn't be permitted while the showcased members were given free rein, interest dissipated.Another possibility for the lack of participation could that access by request only is too restrictive. Currently, no one has access unless specifically granted. We could try switching to a scheme where everyone has access unless specifically denied.

Well, I think part of it is the limited topics in Showcase. I proposes a Showcase topic, but it wasn't supported for here, or actually it was posted here and then removed.The truth is there are topics I'd like to propose and debate here if I knew how. The one time I tried, it was removed from here. I don't view it as shameful to post here, and in fact think it could serve as a place to keep shameful and how can I say it, ignorant or less capable debaters, off the thread where they tend to foul up the potential for good discussion.Edited by randman, : No reason given.

It's funny but the truth is JAD's comments were basically not oppossed by the evos. The silence was telling, as iano also noted. So your comments are rather bizarre.
