I'll take flowers over the Dead Man's Hand that iano offers. We are talking about truth, not sentiment.

The suspension of belief is painful. Explain, please. I never had any belief to "SUSPEND."

You didn't include an option of: none of your business. I suspect that is one reason why people might be staying away from the thread. You're not getting an accounting of the beliefs present here, just an accounting of those willing to declare their beliefs. Its a general question. I didn't approach you and ask you. So if you wanna be emo and don't want to participate, then don't. Anyone that does is more than welcome. “If chance be the father of all flesh then disaster is his rainbow in the sky. And when you hear of, state of emergencies, sniper kills ten, youths go looting, bomb blasts school, it is but the sound of man worshipping his maker” -Steve Turner

Thank you. Now in my view, which admittedly is tentative, nihilism makes the most sense. It is very reasonable. I'm sure you wouldn't disagree with that. I respect your decision, but I don't think its a sensible belief. If a nihilist is incapable of 'knowing' that 'knowledge' is unattainable, then how does he have the knowledge to 'know' that knowledge is unattainable? That's a non-sequitur. I mean, it sounds like the most impartial belief, but for the reason I listed alone, the logic breaks down. “If chance be the father of all flesh then disaster is his rainbow in the sky. Guess. Hmmmmm? Quetzal? Ummm, I'd have to say that you are a Republican, neo-conservative, fundamentalist Baptist from Mississippi... How close was I? “If chance be the father of all flesh then disaster is his rainbow in the sky. THEIST
(I agree with those who say anyone undecided should be counted as agnostics. Ringo, agnostics don't know what to do with what they do know. If they knew and decided, they'd be either athiests or theists.) BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW ---- Jesus said, "When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near." Luke 21:28

I'm atheist. (Is my grammar wrong, or did I just mess up my spacing?)
