Re: Bush isn't totally to blame, but he is the main man.

I noticed, even before 9/11, that this administration doesn't even bother making their lies plausible. I could never figure whether they felt that the American public was too dumb or too powerless to call them on it; either way, I always thought it showed the extreme contempt that the Bush administration has for the American people.

Hi, Tal. Do you really think that people choose to live where they do on a whim?
Edited to add:
I haven't seen you around for a while. I hope you have been well.

Sort of like how all those people stuck in New Orleans "chose" to stay behind.

That is not to mention the degree of lawlessness seen in Indonesia's Tsunami. The size of this storm and potentials for flooding should have had thinkers making comparisons when drawing up plans.
Be careful, holmes. Fairly recently another poster got real mad at me when I suggested that Americans weren't much different than other people in the world.

Re: Is Bush merely chronically amnesiac?
Well, to be fair, if everyone was capable of using logical reasoning based on facts then we wouldn't have conservatives. And how much fun would that be?

Unless he's actually a liberal operative. When I read his, er, contributions I sometimes get the impression that he must be making fun of the stereotypes of the loony right.

I believe that Purple Dawn was a marine; I'm not sure of her political identification; certainly far to the left of Tal.

Really, I wonder who, I wonder how many have served are conservative or liberal on this board?
