I thought long and hard what I was going to name myself on this forum. I couldn't really think of one so I just put three colors together, either that or some random variation of letters like agsdhfiosaghdklewsfh.
A pat on the back for anyone who can come up with a creative name for me. Now that I think about it, blueredwhite is kinda lame.

I used to play this online version of Vampire the Masquarade many years ago and my character was called Alarni Melish (from a random nane generator).
Desperate to think of a name other than Ashanti (my Evercrack name) when I joined EvC I dredged up a corruption of Alarni, e voila! Larni.

You are very brave. I would never offer anyone the chance to come up with a creative name for me.
Cheers.

I didn't see this topic when it first came round, but now Modulous Prime has pointed me here, I thought I'd explain mine too.
Its the name of an elephant who was administered a very large dose of LSD to see if it would provoke musth. He died a pretty unpleasant death, unfortunately. The tale might be apocryphal, I don't know - but if it did happen it was in the 60s.
The story (just google Tusko LSD) is sad and leaves you wondering what the scientists were thinking. It somehow seemed appropriate for a science forum.

Nyeusigrube is part latin for demon of the den of shadows and the last name to Nyeusigrube is Bacchante meaning I am a preistess of the God Bacchus the God of wine. So pretty much I am a drunk demon dwelling in the shadows lol.

Origins of OHNHAI: (pronounced ”On-High’ if you hadn’t guessed)
As an artist I used to sign my works either ”Rush’ or ”Mac’ (Rush being short for Rushbrook and Mac for the hell of it) but many moons a go when I got into Manga a friend and I started work on this story called “The Good Goddess Guide” or “GGG” for short. The story was meant to be in a similar vein as Ahh My Goddess. For the organisation in the story I wanted a Japanese looking name that was also a pun on heaven and goddesses and all that. I came up with the name OHNHAI. With my friend doing the writing the story found it’s legs and ran off into a far darker corner than originally intended.
The story focused round the character of Meyuki Saito who was just starting out in the world of Law Practice when on the way to work one day she hit a petrol tanker and went BOOM!!
She is ”saved’(Page1, Page2) by this mysterious organisation called OHNHAI, and it is explained to her that OHNHAI rescues people from certain death and then after a simple procedure to the brain trains them up in paranormal skills to act as ”Goddesses’ who’s primary function is to help others.
Anyway . . The story went nowhere, but when I joined Stainless Software (of Carmageddon fame) They used Nicknames for email and system logons so I was asked for my Nickname. I said ”Rush’, but our admin said ”nope, Russell Hughes uses ”Rusk’ and that will only cause confusion. Pick another.” So after thinking I said ”Ohnhai’. Then after spelling it for him that became my name at work. Shortly after that it also became my global Online identity.
So that is how I became ”Ohnhai’
PS: and yes I would love to go back and re-visit this world now I’m a better artist.

Just my name! I do however often use the identity of "noflashintro" online. I may yet change my ID here.
I was a Flash developer/illustrator for five years before moving into film CGI. Noflashintro is a spoof on the annoying trend of Flash intros in the late 90s! The watchful cheetah is an online mascot of my own design.

Do you remember once, Rick, when someone asked you if you were a fan of the Dave Chappell Show?
You seemed a little put out be it... but i was jus wondering if you caught the reference?

Im afraid I haven't a clue what you are talking about! I certainly don't remember ever being "put out" by anything to do with Chappelle. Also bear in mind that the show isn't widely seen over here (I've only seen it once on cable).

Not saying you were, Rick , maybe the tone of your reply was based on your not knowing the reference. Can't recall who asked you though...
Anyway, just to fill you in...
quote:
On February 11, 2004, Dave Chappelle aired a sketch called Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories: Rick James on his sketch comedy television program, Chappelle's Show. The three-part, episode long skit was an E! True Hollywood Story-style retrospective of the alleged love-and-hate friendship between James and Charlie Murphy during James' early-1980s peak. The young James, played by Chappelle, was depicted as an egotistical, misogynistic and violent cocaine addict who picked on Murphy and constantly reminded people "I'm Rick James, bitch!" (a quote that James himself confirmed he had in fact used during that period) and "Cocaine is a hell of a drug". Charlie Murphy played himself in both the flashback scenes and the interviews. James also appeared in the skit in an interview in which he reacted to Murphy's assertions. The acted scenes were written by Murphy himself, and the skit was mostly ad-libbed. It is also the longest skit on Chappelle's Show.

My handle was invented for this forum. (Credit to Todd Marshall for the artwork.)
Archaeopteryx taught me it's not necessary to be the biggest and baddest T. Rex on the block. Far better to adapt and grow wings and take to the air, to survive as a more interesting and colorful creature. In the meantime there's nothing wrong with being unclassifiable.
Kind of like Taiwan, I guess.
