Re: what the ???
I am thinking about it, I woulden't want to use my ability for purposes of greed though, some psychics use their abilities to make money; I believe it's a gift from God to help others who cannot tap into this force

Re: what the ???

Sorry but what a cop out.. 'I would but, I dont want the money'
If you CAN do this then prove it, and donate the money to charity.

What I'm asking is: How do you know that the information wasn't already there in your brain? How do you know that you didn't read about it and forget? How do you know that you're not putting the pieces together - consciously or subconsciously - like in Ohnhai's story?
I constantly have experiences where I ask myself, "How did I know that?" Sometimes I can figure it out and sometimes not - but I never attribute a "spooky" origin to it.

Well, don't do it for greed, then. You don't have to take the money.
Do it for science. I mean, if we could harness the power of genuine retrocognition - although I think "postscience" (antonym of "prescience") is a better word - it would revolutionize archaeology, paleontology, anthropology, criminal forensics, all kinds of stuff.
The first step there would be proving that you could do it in a controlled environment with verifiable results. That's what the JREF would set up for you.

Re: what the ???
There is something called Deja-vu. Its just a silly little thing that other people talk about to some, but to others its a very real phenemenon. It happens pretty close like what you described, but its more of a sense of familiarity then a knowledge. I'm sure that some people have had this experiance before, and recognize it for what it is.
This is the part where you think im a crackpot...
And a little more...
PSYCHE! The real meat? Deja-vu is actually a neurological phenomenon. i used to have a great site that explained it but i lost it. take this one for now.
Science Journal: The neurology behind deja vu
Enjoy. Notice how precognition is listed as one of the other names of the feeling....

Science can't prove everything, and it never will... there are just parts of the mind that cannot be explained, energy that flows within all of us.... Dejavu I will say I've never had one... honestly I wish I had so I could see what they are like.

Re: what the ???
If they have a convention near by I will check it out, but if it's somewhere far away, I woulden't have the time to do so. They would ask things like name this object behind here... I don't work with formal psychic ways... I work with people and tell them things about them; and try to help them with loved ones that have died, or aura readings of the body etc... Nothing like There is a square in box 17 -_-.. I do not see this as any kind of psychic test, if they dealt with telepathy and transfering thoughts I almost can pinpoint it when I am near someones, not judging by facial or body action either.

Well if you can find out things that were a cover up, you probably wouldent read about them in the papers... I don't know it's a good point though, but some stuff I just cant explain
This is a really interesting forum though

lol I like your robot it's pointing it made sense with what you wrote. Honestly I have faith in my abilities, if there ever is a convention here I will check it out... but not for fame or fortune, or to prove anything; I would do it to help people

How do you know something was covered up unless you "read about it in the papaers"?
Somewhere, somehow, you got information to confirm your retrocognition. That information is out there - however deep it may be covered up - or you would have no way of knowing that your retrocognition was accurate.
What I'm asking is: How do you know that you didn't acquire that information somewhere, somehow, without being conscious of it?
The honest response to "retrocognition" would be to ask, "Why do I know that?" - not jump to the conclusion that it has a "psychic" source.

And being able to give one million dollars to charity would help a lot of people.
Anyway as for the test then you both come up with a suitable test for your ability (ie the best way to demonstrate your ability to them in a controlled manner) . If they are too far away then ask for the test to held locally.
To be honest I truly think you DON’T have faith in your ability. Because if you CAN do what you say then the testing process should not pose any problems in the slightest. (for example if your power is strongest when identifying the number of people who have died in a building then a good test would be for you to be taken to say 20 buildings unknown and un researched by you, but where the testing team DOES know the history (so probably not in your local area) and for you to gues- Determine how many (if any) people had died there and try and name them. IF you accurately state the body count for 11 of the buildings and you can accurately name 3 or more of the bodies then that should be good enough..
How does that sound?

Yeah I should do something like that, I have to do it when I have enough time I am literally working 13 hrs a day, blah! I just want to see how accurate I can be... testing on all different levels

Hm. How to put this. No!? Actually, we CAN and WILL if not HAVE explain/explained the "energy" that flows within us and dictates our thoughts, counsciousness, and memory. The fact that you say that this is unexplained and (meaning no disrespect) you show no proof, evidence, or even an indication that you are saying something specific about the "energies within us" shows that you really dont have very much in the sense of an argument or even common knowledge on the subject. Honestly, if in completly misreading the post and have a wealth of information on the topic of the mystical energies of the human brain, please post them .My father is a neurologist, and id be happy to give him a call and debunk your theories.
As to the shortcomings of science, im inclined to disagree. Science can prove anything (at this point, based on your religious orientation, you draw a line here at 99.99% of "everything," or keep it at 100%) but unfortunatelly, i do not ever think it will. There is just too much to prove! Of all the branches of science we have now, one day we will know all about theml other branches will be created, other information searched for. If you really must force an answer, id have to say yeah, theres not much that science can't eventually crack.
As to the topic of this thread, how would you know what a deja-vu is if youve never (supposedly) experienced one? Maybe what i am describing is your feeling exactly, a knowledge of what is present from a MEMORY of something past yet the memory never occured, and you just dont recognize it. So no, im inclined to answer your first question of "What do you think about it?" with a resouding skepticism, and eventually a disbelief.
EDIT: Oh and another thing! you dont have to give your respons in 4 different posts, you can just use one. if you remember something you can go to "Edit" and add it in.

Re: what the ???
You give them the parameters of how you have to operate to do what you say you can do, and they'll devise a fair test. Or you could contact them by email, or post on their forums, and they could give you an idea of what a fair test would constitute.
In the meantime, you should research topics in psychology including such areas as "confirmation bias", etc.
