The New York Times reports:
Speaking to the Denver television station KUSA outside his house in Colorado Springs today, Mr. Haggard said a Denver hotel referred him to Mr. Jones for the purpose of getting a massage. He said he met with Mr. Jones and bought the drug[methamphetamine]. “I was tempted, I bought it, but I did not use it,” he said today.
And he didn't inhale. Or swallow.
Yeah. What an astounding hypocrite.

to regard something that can't possibly be marriage as marriage, to write it into the law of the land, representing the nation as a whole.
Like when the Supreme Court struck down the miscegenation laws of sixteen states just 39 years ago? There were sermons about that one....with Scripture quotes, too.

Haggard's letter to the Coloradospringsians is online:
Unsupported Media Type
Let he/she who can read draw his/her own conclusions. I'm pretty impressed, really, especially by this bit:
Please forgive my accuser. He is revealing the deception and sensuality that was in my life. Those sins, and others, need to be dealt with harshly. So, forgive him and, actually, thank God for him. I am trusting that his action will make me, my wife and family, and ultimately all of you, stronger. He didn't violate you; I did.
Edited by Coragyps, : No reason given.
