I have been wondering about this because it doesn't make any sense. Recently, when I first attempted to join the forum I used one of my email addresses to do it, but unfortunatly I couldn't access my email in order to get the password. So then I made a new account with my other email address. Now today when I looked at my profile I saw that both accounts have been conjoined into one. I see two aliases, and the former one is the one I made first.

How did that happen?

Because it is usually apparent to administration when that happens and they will then merge the accounts.
