Good news chocoholics: Study: Chocolate slows clotting http://news.monstersandcritics.com/...th/printer_1222487.php
quote: However, rather than throw out results from subjects who cheated on their diets, Becker and her team analyzed data from the 139 patients who cheated -- out of a total 1,200 subjects -- and found that the clotting time for participants who consumed chocolate was significantly slower than those who followed the dietary rules. Becker said the platelet activity slowed further for those who consumed larger amounts of chocolate.

Well, I can offer anecdotal evidence that chocolate-infested icecream is good for my health. Or at least makes me feel better. Can I test it by cutting myself and measuring pre/post clotting time?

Can I test it by cutting myself and measuring pre/post clotting time? I suppose so, but does that make you and sado-masochistic obsessive compulsive narcistic hematologist? Wine, women and chocolate
I am a slave to dark chocolate. Milk chocolate is okay. White chocolate is an abomination (it isn't even chocolate). But dark chocolate is a minimum daily requirement in my house. Maybe that explains why my nuclear cardiac scan last year showed such amazingly good results, despite a strongly unfavorable family history and a diet that is...suboptimal Or maybe it's the cabernet sauvignon that goes so well with dark chocolate. Or all that sex that chocolate puts you in the mood for... [speculation deleted] Maybe it's the rock 'n roll.

Or maybe it's the cabernet sauvignon that goes so well with dark chocolate. I always keep vitamin wine and vitamin chocolate in my diet to make sure that I have a fully balanced daily diet. Join the effort to unravel {AIDS/HIV} {Protenes} and {Cancer} with Team EvC! (click)

As for you not liking milk or white chocolate, that's probably a good thing. Milk chocolate is not very good for you. It has alot of sugar but not alot of actual cocoa.
