Can protein be manufactured outside a living organism? I've heard of attempts to do this, but they all failed. Some were successful only in producing the "building blocks" of protein like amino acid.
So, do you have any real proof of protein being made outside of a living organism?

Flesh it out a little?
Perhaps you could get the discussion moving by adding something to this.
You could make clear why you think the question is important. It might also help get answers more meaningful to you if you made it clear how much you understand about the topic.
You could explain how proteins are involved with the largest viruses (viri) around now for example.
ABE:
It might be useful for you to describe your inspiration for the question. Is it yours or did you just read it somewhere? If you didn't originate it do you understand the question?

Thanks Nosey for the info. I asked the question because of the famous Miller & Urey Experiment. I think that experiment was conducted to replicate the earliest form of life. But, what they were able to produce was only the building block of protein--amino acids.
And, subsequent experiments also proved a failure to create even a single molecule of protein--unless they use "building blocks" from living organism ???

better understood
I'll promote this now.
But you will find that others will correct you on your misunderstanding of the experiments you are referencing.
