Pat Robertson at the beginning of last year predicted, based on a conversation with god, that there will be numerous storm strikes on the East Coast and a possible tsunami on the West Coast.

Now, today I find this article with a fresh prophecy for 2007
Error
From the article....
Pat Robertson writes:
I have a relatively good track record," he said. "Sometimes I miss."
and....
Pat Robertson writes:
Even though the U.S. was not hit with a tsunami, Robertson on Tuesday cited last spring's heavy rains and flooding in New England as partly fulfilling the prediction.
Several questions....
  • To be considered a prophet or a false prophet what does one's batting average have to be?
  • Is there partial credit for a prophecy? Does partial fulfillment count?
  • Just how specific does a prophecy have to be. For example, can a prophet claim that god told him that there will be an earthquake in 2007 and some weather records will be broken.
Edited by iceage, : No reason given.

Yes, he already claimed that some broken rain fall records partly fulfilled his failed last year's prophecy.
So does god just partially fulfill prophecies?
Question for the biblical literalist, does this instruction still apply...
    Deuteronomy 18:20 writes:
But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death

In other words, god went out of its way to make sure the weather didn't behave like Pat said it would.
Interest view. God is actively making Robertson look bad. I think it is time to drag him to the gates of town and stone him - just like the good book commands.
