But, seriously. That brings up an experiment.
Why don't you try acting gay (not sexually, mind you, but whatever you might perceive as "acting" gay) for a week. Try to gauge the different looks and attitudes people give you. Maybe come June go to a gay pride parade, too, but on the "side" of the gays and try to experience it as we do.
"Gay Pride parade"? You have "gay pride"? Maybe it's your "pride" that is the problem. Is it anything like "white pride" and the KKK? Or "black pride" and the Black Panthers? Or "automobile pride" and NASCAR? Or "yuppie pride" and Starbucks? What about "human pride"? Now, that's a source for a lot of misery!

Re: 14th Amendment
Pride doesn't seem to be the topic of this thread. I do have a number of thoughts on pride, so if you want to talk about pride, you could open a new thread.

Pretty much, if you consider saying, "get this frikkin' noose off me" the same as hanging someone.
How do you manage to type while masturbating like that? Do you have a special device that leaves your hands free?

That's not nice! Do you have some kind of sexual insecurity? Maybe you need your own thread on masturbation: "Jerkin' off gay and proud of it!"

Just curious, Dan. If science somehow came up with a pill to make you straight, would you take it?

I doubt it. It'd be a bit of a waste of time.

Re: 14th Amendment
I have a friend whose parents are both gay. Both her father and mother were raised up to be conservative republicans. Her father was raised to be a good husband and her mother a good house wife. Some time after my friend was born, both her parents came to some kind of revelation and both came out. They are still living together and they each have a gay relationship out of marriage. And coincidently, they don't believe in god anymore.
Two points I want to make. For now they are faking their marriage just for the benefits. But the more important point is they were forced into this fake marriage by society, family, friends, and religion. They were taught that being gay was somehow wrong and all of that crap, so they had to grow up denying a very important part of their lives. Just imagine how miserable they were in their fake relationship before they decided to stop denying who they were.
I'm just glad they came to their senses and decided to exercise their constitutional rights of pursuit of happiness.

Hoot, you are misreading what Dan is saying.
It would be a waste of time for him to take a pill to make him what he already is. Dan is straight.

PERFECT demonstration. You see, homosexuals CAN be married. They can even have children. So what's the big problem?

You see, homosexuals CAN be married.
Already covered in a thousand Loving v. Virginia post. Either you can't read, or you're trolling.
I suppose it's also possible you're a monkey at a keyboard, hitting random keys, and pounding out post after post through sheer chance. But it seems a bit unlikely.
Unless you're infinite monkeys. Are you infinite monkeys?

OK, I was mistaken. It was only a hypothetical. Maybe I should have directed my question to Jaderis. I'm still curious as to whether or not she would choose to take that pill.
