Re: I'm gonna give arach and Brian a run for their money!
you realize that's kind of the test, right? memory of verses and whatnot. it doesn't test your ability to wing it in latin, nor does it test your ability to read a passage and comprehend it. it tests your knowledge of the bible.

The first quiz was far too easy, the second was the opposite. I did score 39% on the second. It shows that my multiple choice skills are still up to par because I believe I really only knew two answers.

Better luck next time
but not this one, which someone created in response to how absurdly easy the first one. i'm almost ashamed to mention my dismal score. it's a good deal more difficult.
Man.... I only got a 39% on the hard one. I felt pretty confident on most of those, but it wouldn't let me view my right/wrong answers.

quiz score
this so called "ultimate" bible quiz circulated my lj friends, a few other boards, and even pharyngula.
Okay, I got a 96% on this one, but that isn't saying much. It was remarkably easy for someone who knows very little about the Bible.

Just for fun okay. Received a 66% on the first one, only knew 10 guessed at the rest. On the second received a 7%, knew only one and that came from here and one of your post.

On the second received a 7%
wow, ok, that makes me feel a little better. i did better than that, but not as highly as some of the other people. it was a lot of nt stuff, which i'm not nearly as versed in or familiar with.
knew only one and that came from here and one of your post.
really? which one?

Had to do with a cherub and the garden or eden. Trying to find it and unable to at this time, pretty sure it was you and another posted a picture of depiction of what it was thought to look like.

a mare among the chariots
100% and 61%
Now some timely trivia from the Song of Songs.

I compare you, my love,
to a mare among Pharaoh’s chariots.
Your cheeks are comely with ornaments,
your neck with strings of jewels.
Many readers understand this to mean the bride is adorned like one of the mares that would pull an Egyptian chariot. Not so.
Egyptian chariots were pulled by stallions. Releasing a mare was a tactic used by enemies to make the stallions impossible for their charioteers to control.
Happy Valentine's Day, everybody.

Archer
All species are transitional.
