Re: Name a country starting with 'U'...
That was painful.

I think I'll be cringing for the rest of the day, now.

Re: Name a country starting with 'U'...
More than 50% of voters apparently thought bush was worth re-election -- why should this evidence be any worse?

"I like bush, so whatever he says must be right"

"He's from texas, so he must be right"

These are logically "challenged" americans (and they weren't the only ones).

I loved the geography "lessons ... "

Perhaps there should be an intelligence test to BE a citizen?

I bet people in Uruguay and Uzbekistan would do better eh?

LOL.

I loved the geography "lessons ... "

Especially "I didn't know North Korea (aka Australia) was sooo big!!" *sigh*

And it's not any worse. I said it was painful...not surprising :)

My nephew's current favorite
A duck walks into quickie mart and asks the guy behind the counter

"Hey, ya got any grapes?"

Counter guy replies "No, we don't sell grapes here, it's a quickie mart."

The duck goes away, but comes back the next day and again asks,

"Hey, ya got any grapes?"

The guy says "No, I told you yesterday that we don't have any grapes, now go away!"

Duck comes back the next and again asks,

"Hey, ya got any grapes?"

Guy says, "Look, I've already told you twice we don't have any damn grapes and if you come back again I'll nail your beak to the floor!"

Duck comes back in the next day and asks,

"Hey, ya got any nails?"

Guy says, "Um, no."

Duck says, "Good, ya got any grapes?"

:D

That's wonderful. We have convulsed in the kitchen.

Reminds me of Sesame Street.

Boy, was I glad to hear that Ted Haggard was pronounced "cured" of his penis penchant after only three weeks of intensive counseling. You have no idea how much hope that gave to this girl. Like many women, I too have struggled to rid myself of the lure of the penis. Now, I don't know if this is just a rumor (you know how the internets can be) but I have heard that Ted is writing a book. It's going to be entitled "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Pussy." As soon as it's listed on Amazon, I'll be pre-ordering it.

There's more. Good news eh?

Re: Name a country starting with 'U'...
It was pretty amusing. My #1 daughter said Uruguay, and I immediately thought of Ukraine. However, I always wonder when I see these kinds of jokes - especially videos - how many people got some or all of the questions right but (since the authors were trying to make a point) didn't make it on film.

I wonder how many average-moron-on-the-street Europeans could get those right as well? Or wrong if we're careful on the editing? I'll bet any amount of money you'd care to name that I could go to a working-class district in Cleremont-Ferrand, France, or Newcastle (or Middle Thumbswitch-on-Tiddles or the equivalent) in the UK, or Sidney, for that matter, and find enough ignorant morons to fill an identical video.

Of course, a lot of the respondants in that video had southern accents. The author may actually have something there... :D

Re: Name a country starting with 'U'...
i haven't the foggiest idea what the coalition of the willing is. too bad.
however, i completely agree that the west bank is somewhere in new york. it's boca raton. it's the promised other half of new york. which makes total sense if you notice they randomly placed other countries over australia...

"he's from texas; he's gotta be right."

*sigh*

Re: Name a country starting with 'U'...
i haven't the foggiest idea what the coalition of the willing is.

Outside of the obvious (US/UK/AU), there are a couple of East/Central European countries (Poland and Ukraine) who at least actually put in an appearance, and a whole pile of pissant little third world countries which haven't done anything but are trying to suck up to the US.

Coalition of the Willing is actually something of a joke in-and-of itself.

Heh. It's the famous "alliance" that Bush claimed proved the US had multi-lateral backing for the invasion of Iraq. :D
