Re: A timeline
The builders of the GP knew that the Earth was round; Medieval Europe believed the Earth was flat.
IOW, ancient men were ultra-intelligent ...
Well, there's something a teensy bit wrong with your reasoning.
You know that the world is round; does that make you "ultra-intelligent"?
There is also something wrong with your facts. Medieval Europe was well aware that the world was round. The popular myth that they thought otherwise originates, it would seem, in a story for children about Columbus by Washinton Irving. The fact that the world was round had been known in Europe long even before the Christian era.

Re: A timeline
oh, and I love the racism in your post
persons with ultra-intellect (= descendants of Adam)
and
failed attempted copies built by North African sun worshippers
you disgust me.
How is this racist!? Unless you are making the racist assumption that Adam was white. Much like the majority of the people in the area at the time, Adam was probably believed to be rather dark-skinned. I see no connetion between Herepton's post and racism.

Re: A timeline . . . is important
I've never heard of any getting rid of anyone. There were 10,000 or more people who had worked on the pyramid and most likely new every turn. Getting rid of anyone would be rather stupid. Not only would they need a new architect for the next king (someone who's been trained enough and knows enough to build structures worthy of Pharaonic approval), and they would waist time killing the one person who has the least to gain from giving up the secrets of the pyramids.
However, in the later period, during King Valley times, there was a seperate village where the workers lived apart from everyone else. And even that didn't stop looting.

Re: A timeline
whites aren't the only ones who are, or can be, racist. tell me, if you put one race above another, like Herepton did (in this case, descendants of Adam), then you are being racist. point simple.
racism is also not just solely based on color (though it is with us in America).

Re: A timeline
This will be going off topic, but. If I say "descendant of Adam" what are you using to determ the race of the descendants? And then "North African." How do you determine the racial differences between Adam and North Africans with knowing only that they exist? Unless you are making a racial generalization that they are of a different race for whatever reason, you simply cannot. Herepton's post in no way implied racism, and the very fact that you made some up has me wondering.

Re: Who built the pyramids?
What is this rubbish about a "pyramid inch"? You should check out this Wiki-pedia Article
quote:
From Article:
The greatest blow to the theory was dealt by the great Egyptogist Flinders Petrie (1853-1942), who had initially been a supporter. When Petrie went to Egypt in 1880 to perform new measurements, he found that the pyramid was several feet smaller than previously believed. This so undermined the theory that Petrie rejected it, writing "there is no authentic example, that will bear examination, of the use or existence of any such measure as a ”Pyramid inch,’ or of a cubit of 25.025 British inches."[6]

So, it would seem all your information is based on false data. I would like to add that aside from Petrie's measurements disproving the "pyramid inch," there is also the issue with the original dimensions of the pyramid. It's much smaller today than it was when it was first built. The entire casing of outer limestone is gone away--technically it was stolen, perhaps by "descendents of Adam." Remnants of the casing can still be seen on the second great pyramid right next to the other one, as well as on other pyramids throughout Egypt. This casing would change your measurements yet again.

couple of qs
Hi Ray,
Tell me, why does the Bible never mention the great pyramid?
Also, if the pyramid had anything to do with Yahweh, why did He befriend the Egyptians?
Brian.

Getting Back to the OP Issue
The difference between an ascending and a descending passage is the direction in which you traverse them. So it is hard to say that it is significant.
First, let me say, thanks for addressing the narrow focus of the OP. I departed from that focus to give Nemesis_ Juggernaut a overview of Pyramidology.
The OP links show pyramid interiors; only the GP has an extensive passage system that includes ascending passages; ALL the others depicted have NONE.
How do you explain this enormous disparity given that you hold the view that all the pyramids were built by Egyptians?
Why is there not ONE pyramid that comes close to the GP IF Egypt built them all?
If we can answer this question by saying that "I have a point" then it will be appreciated.
Ray

Re: couple of qs
Hi Brian:
Good to see you.
Tell me, why does the Bible never mention the great pyramid?
Of course it does.
Isaiah 19:19,20
In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.
What sits exactly in the center of the fan shaped Nile-Delta Quadrant ***AND*** on "the border thereof" in the land of Egypt?
The verse supplies unique geographic cross-identification: In the MIDST of Egypt AND at the "border thereof."
http://www.egyptarchive.co.uk/his_html/smyth_20.html
The only object that sits in these two locations is the GP; as it is ALSO on the border between Upper and Lower AND in the midst.

Re: A timeline
hmm, so the fact that he alludes to two different races (descendants of adam and north african sun worshippers) doesn't strike you as racist (considering that one is thought to be superior)?
Here's what he says in the OP:
persons with ultra-intellect (= descendants of Adam)
are failed attempted copies built by North African sun worshippers.
obviously, these are two different races, and one is superior--that of Adam. why is it obvious? because if the sun-worshippers could build succesful copies, they must have that "ultra-intellect" that ray alludes to. they don't, so they aren't descendants of Adam. yes, his logic is really screwy here, but hey, this is ray we're talking about.
that you can't see the racism is striking.

Re: Who built the pyramids?

Egypt.
He was a son of Ham and the person who drove back the Nile waters so that Egyptian civilization could commence.
Is there a difference between modern day Egypt and Biblical day Egypt?
Not really.
