Re: Tournament Challenge Order
I looked at all the games before I left work yesterday. Y'all like unorthodox openings. I've never had anyone answer my d4 with f6 before. It was very tempting to go look up the opening so I'd know how to handle it, but, for the record, I chose not to. We'll see how this goes, and then I'll go look it up. Looks fun, though.

Re: Tournament Challenge Order
I've never had anyone answer my d4 with f6 before. Well, it's actually part of a bigger plan (which probably won't be possible now, due to subsequent moves).
It was very tempting to go look up the opening so I'd know how to handle it I don't know how much that would help you, because I've never read a book about chess in my life and am not very savvy in orthodox openings and strategies. I just play my games by ear.

Nyeusigrube, where are you!! Jon, Nye has yet to challenge me, so I've challenged him, with him playing white. I think all other games have already started, and one has been completed, so we may end up holding things up. If any other tournament players want a practice in the meantime, feel free to challenge. I'm eratic (with one "r") on GameKnot.

Re: Tournament Challenge Order
Sounds good. On a side note, Nye's a gal . There are only three days per move, so the longest you can draw the game out for on one move is three days. If she wait longer than that, she will forfeit that game and you will be the winner.
