I know the feeling, GDR. If you're on a rocket, some of us are already on the jet plane.
I don't think the reason for this is biological, but that it's relativity. A year seems endless at age ten, because it's a tenth of your life, but at age sixty it's a mere sixtieth.
Make sure you enjoy that retirement as it speeds by, anyway.
