I'll be 50 at the end of this year. Nice round figure that I like to think of as the half way mark, but I might be being optimistic!

Why not? You should soon have enough to work out a pretty accurate average for the site. No over 60s I noticed, so far, or under 18s.

I don't think the reason for this is biological, but that it's relativity. A year seems endless at age ten, because it's a tenth of your life, but at age sixty it's a mere sixtieth.
Make sure you enjoy that retirement as it speeds by, anyway.
