Is just the latest in a consistent series of excellent posts. RAZD has maintained his patience AND supplied a huge amount of well organized detail. His posts show up particularly well in comparison to those that he is replying to which contain pretty well no information at all.

Forum: In The News (Creation/Evolution only) Thread: Jesus Tomb Found message number: #130 Modulous takes a bit of time to post a pretty nice message about how the fact that many religious beliefs are determined by the culture in which a person lives is an indication of their subjectivity. I especially liked the way he said:
That is to say, there is no real reason to disbelieve the teachings of Mohammed other than you were raised in a society that didn't agree with the teachings of Mohammed. So it turns out that what you agree with ends up being a matter as arbitrary as where/when you were born. But the whole post is a well-written development of this theme. This point has been raised many times in the past, but I thought it was particularly well stated this time.

Forum: Intelligent Design Thread: too intelligent to actually be intelligent? message number: #7 I dunno. Is this post too brief to be a good POTM candidate? Well, POTM hasn't been used for a while, and someone needs to be nominated! Anyway, NN makes probably the best distinction I have yet seen for "intelligent" vs. "other kinds of" design.

Thank you, Chiro. Though there would be a bit more glory if you left out the "someone needs to be nominated".

{This statement so clearly shows your lack of understanding about the Theory of Evolution, that I cannot even know where to begin to start. Perhaps you should read a simple book on the subject. The children's section of your local library (if you even know how to find it) should have a descent amount of information to get you on your way.}
From a closed topic..."Topic: True science follows the evidence wherever it leads (The design of the eye)" Author Topic: True science follows the evidence wherever it leads (The design of the eye)ICDESIGN Member Posts: 45From: Phoenix Arizona USA Registered: 03-10-2007 The opening statement above, (from msg 6), gets my vote for post of the year. In only the second reply to the opening post, yet another over zealous evo wasted absolutely no time bringing out the insults, (which was never challenged by any Admin though they obviously were paying close attention from the start, considering how quickly things were closed down). No time wasted on scientific refutations or at least a polite personal refutation of yet another over zealous creo coming in with both guns blazing...no, insults always seem to be the neo-evos way of promoting debate at the intellectual level. How's that working for ya? It has been some time since my last visit but it is nice to see that EVC has not changed and that it is still little more than a haven for young college evo's and perhaps a few of their uninformed teachers still clinging to the darwinian concept of evolution while real science makes great headway but little headlines. That is okay though guys and gals because although none of us will likely be alive to witness that day when true science wins out over darwins big mistake it won't really matter because by then we will already know how wrong darwin and his band of neo-evos were. So, hats off to Invictus! My nominee for post of the year! Keep up the good work Invictus...you are bound to come across someone before you die who will accept and agree with the thought-provoking arguments you present and will then change sides from the "design by intelligence" crowd to the "no design, no intelligence...just random mutation and a hell of a lot of time and luck" crowd. I am still trying to find one evo who can show me any species transition using the fossil record. Just one out of how many fossils? Come on you can do it. Just one showing transition over say that last million years, (take more or less time if needed), that seems like an easy request for this lively bunch. See you all in a few more, and keep up the high standards of debate that seem so prevelant here at EVC. Eltonian James "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed." If the level of insult in a post were the criteria (it's not), I would have to admit that you have a (very) small case to make (small because a level of ignorance about the theory of evolution was demonstrated by ICDesign, and noting that fact is not an insult but reality) ...
... however then your post would have to take first place, seeing as it is nothing but invective ... leveled not just at one person but just about everyone. With that said, I can't see that your nomination qualifies for this thread: you're supposed to nominate posts that make good arguments. If you can't nominate any creationist or IDologist post for such qualities, then this is not the place to vent. Discussion is not the purpose of this thread, so you can count this as a vote against your nomination. Enjoy. compare Fiocruz Genome and fight Muscular Dystrophy with Team EvC!
