I have this vague guilty feeling, like we gave them an STD.

Yeah, he's handling himself quite politely. Which isn't a terrible surprise... his behavior here rarely went past pompous, on the great offensiveness scale.
But he's also raring right out the gate with several of his old EvC pet topics... thermodynamics and biblical prophecy, most prominently.

Re: Bulletproof Buz - he's like a honda engine
So you're basically saying that Buz was polite, therefore his opposition weren't the ones acting asshats?
One can be polite while still being belligerent and disingenuous. The fact that he's politely not rising to insults says nothing about his basic MO, which seems not to have changed a bit in his new stomping grounds.

Re: Bulletproof Buz - he's like a honda engine
Why must the creo apologize and sacrifice a stool to the EvCgod anyway? Isn't that also a bit pompous/self-righteous?
If I were asking Buzsaw to burn an offering of his feces(?) at a temple to the mighty EvCgod's power,(???) then yes. That would certainly be pompous.
But back in realityland, I was only snarking on him. And that's pretty much the appropriate response to someone who "stubbornly sticks to his beliefs," even in the face of facts that directly contradict those beliefs.
