None of those activities involve critical thinking.

Jesus's act of replenishing the wine has nothing to do with drunkenness being moral.
It is immoral. You can't consciencely follow Christ's maxims when drunk.

So Jesus aided people in their immorality? No way.

You are reading sentences in the text that simply aren't there. My response to JustinC addressed what he wrote. Can you please stop replying to me?

You quite simply do not know what you are talking about.
You temporarily do not have your cognitive ability and you are irrational, lacking the ability to reason.
I have been playing poker every Friday the 13th for more than 10 years, and have won money virtually every time. While drinking. Often to excess. And I have taken money from people who weren't drinking.
Alcohol certainly reduces ones cognitive faculties, but only in the most extreme doses does it do what you describe.
Furthermore, those that experience little ill effects neglect the needs of the other participants around them which is immoral.
During one of our poker nights, one of my buddies described to me some marital difficulties he was having. He and I left the game for about an hour, and I talked with him about his problems. I was eight sheets into the wind. Not only did I not neglect his needs, I abandoned my own stated purpose for being there, drinking, pokering, and laughing with the boys, to help him out.
You are wrong. You know not of what you speak. And if you want to respond to the heart of my post, you better have something more compelling than, "Nuh uh!"

The asteroid 302 Clarissa just told me she was vitally concerned about your morality, Mess. Quaoar is the only one worried about Jar's, and he's not very worried.

If you "can't" when drunk, you probably can't when sober either. Drunkenness may lower inhibitions and impair judgement, but it doesn't blockade morality.

A Question For Chris
Its been awhile since I talked with you. I hope all is well in NY.
I have a couple of questions for you to chew on.
1) Do you enjoy winning debates and convincing people?
OR.....
2) Do you like to contribute to debates and watch the overall character of the Blog to evolve through the ideas of others contrasting with your own?
The reason I ask is because I no longer am at EvC to win debates (or lose them)
I am here to add to a community blog and throw my character and wisdom in the stew with everyone else's...hopefully what is produced is good topics.

Re: more Morality nonsense.
You misinterpreted what I wrote, understandably.
I meant to write that morality is of utmost importance and everyone cares about it.

Unfortunately, you're wrong subbie. Just because you recognized a friend's needs once does not mean much. Your ability to recognize the needs of your friends has decreased. You're ability to help your friend's problem was most definitely nill as well. Your friend wouldn't take advice from a drunkard.

I don't do things because I enjoy them, generally. I try to do what is right.
