A Question of the Heart

Since my earlier response (post #13) to Servant went unanswered, and looking at this thread, I'd guess that Servant has plenty to respond to without my invovlement. I think I'll just watch for a while. Plus, maybe that'll give the thread a chance to get back on topic, and stay on topic. It would be easy (and useful) to have a full discussion (in a new thread) on any of the new topics mentioned (such as the lack of reliability of the Bible, or the success of Evolutionary Psychology in describing why people are how they are, or etc...).Have a fun day all- Edited by Equinox, : clarification

Hi, Faithful Servant. I hope you're enjoying the debating here. This is off-topic for this thread (since the OP just concerns itself with human consciousness).To help clarify a few things about Big Bang, though, here is a post I wrote long ago about the real meaning of the phrase Big Bang. Here's an interesting fact.The word "brain" doesn't appear once in the Bible.Not once.The Bible invariably describes people as thinking with their hearts.Anyone up for a quick round of "teach both theories"?

Europeans thought that the brain was there only to "cool the blood" until the 1600's.Maybe that's what it did until then, ya think?

Which is odd, because the blood would probably be warmer leaving the brain than entering, wouldn't it? I mean, that brain of yours generates a dozen or so watts of heat, from memory.
