Oh. OK. But, you know, some Christians feel that the next church down the street is the cult of ignorance. What kind of Christian are you? A bible believer? A former Christian, or 'backslider', a nominal believer, etc etc?
How is it you get to decide, in other words who is the good Christians, and who is in this cult of ignorance? Precisely?

You seem to be unaware that many millions of real people think exactly that of the stories of the past, that you have on offer. Many might like a new 'movie'.

What kind of Christian are you? Life long active working at being a Christian Christian.
How is it you get to decide, in other words who is the good Christians, and who is in this cult of ignorance? Well, people who teach lies and falsehoods like Biblical Creationism are in the Cult of Ignorance by default. I don't decide, their behavior convicts them. Anyone who thinks the Earth is only thousands of years old is in the Cult of Ignorance. Sorry, that is just a fact. Anyone who thinks man is not an animal is in the Cult of Ignorance. Sorry, that is just a fact. But being ignorant is curable. It is not a matter of the Christian Cult of Ignorance being bad. Most people in it aren't bad, just ignorant. But the preachers and teachers and pastors and ministers and padres and priests and other charlatans who are getting rich off the membership of the Christian Cult of Ignorance, who take advantage of them through things like the different Creation Museums, are bad. How does any of this address my post? Just a monkey in a long line of kings. If "elitist" just means "not the dumbest motherfucker in the room", I'll be an elitist! *not an actual doctor

keys writes: What, exactly is Creationist "science"?? I am not really sure, what I do know is its not science.
Why would I think something that does not exist is great? No idea. I am trying to find a baseline to understand why you think that creationist lies are any different than the FSM and its comical alternative. I don't see how you can differentiate the two.
Illness can be caused by evil spirits You have any proof of this? I am sure there are thousands of doctors who are interested in their job security.
why not let the creation of the bible be taught, even with imperfect science Why not let creation science publish perfect science? Its not like the rules are secret. Why should you advocate "imperfect science", do you make a habit of such things in other areas or only when it comes to science?
I don't feel that science really comes into the picture all that much. Ahh. So we do agree on something!
After all, how much science is in the pre big bang stories? None, but what does this have to do with creationist lies?

Nothing convicts me of being in this cult of ignorance you dreamed up. What about the bible is it you don't like? quote:Well, no, actually, lrt me tell you the facts of that matter. Man is more than the flesh. You speak only of a part of what a man is. If we were to imagine only that flesh part was all there was, why, one would have your point of view. Of course as most know, there is more, so we cannot be defined by that part of what a man is, the flesh part only. That is unbiblical, as you really ought to know, claiming to be a Christian. quote:Nonsense, this sort of backwater, Inquisition era witch hunting conspiracy theory gibberish, and biased hate speech cannot be cloaked in the sheepskin of Christian reality. At least a step towards being honest about what it is they are teaching, which is belief based, rather than pretending it is science. quote:No. Nothing like that.

I can't spoon feed you here
I'm not asking you to, just answering my question would be adequate. I'll repeat it for you:
Why would I think something that does not exist is great? I dunno, you seem to think the fairy tale promoted by this "museum" is great, what's wrong with telling the FSM's side of the story? Just a monkey in a long line of kings. If "elitist" just means "not the dumbest motherfucker in the room", I'll be an elitist! *not an actual doctor

Jesus
Was a false prophet, I thought we were talking about God here.
I don't know, why teach religion in a science class??
You tell me, that's what the christian cult of ignorance TM Jar is trying to do.
At least a step towards being honest about what it is they are teaching, which is belief based, rather than pretending it is science.
Care to come over to one of the science threads and showing how what is being taught is belief based and not reliant on the evidence? Just a monkey in a long line of kings. If "elitist" just means "not the dumbest motherfucker in the room", I'll be an elitist! *not an actual doctor

OK. I guess that means you believe in the bible? Yup. And read it more literally than those who claim to be Literalists. For example there is not one Creation myth in the Bible but several.
I also am a Christian, and am certain the universe was created 6000 years ago. Nothing convicts me of being in this cult of ignorance you dreamed up. What about the bible is it you don't like? I don't doubt for a second that you are a Christian or that you believe the universe was created 6000 years ago. The former is definitely your decision but the later is simply a matter of ignorance. What makes you think I don't like something about the Bible? I have actually even read it.
Well, no, actually, lrt me tell you the facts of that matter. Man is more than the flesh. Fine, present the evidence of that which is more than animal and show it is something not possessed by all the other animals and we can discuss it.
Nonsense, this sort of backwater, Inquisition era witch hunting conspiracy theory gibberish, and biased hate speech cannot be cloaked in the sheepskin of Christian reality. Not now, not ever. Please show where any such assertions were made by me? There is no hate speech involved, more a feeling of profound pity for all the ignorant members of the Christian Cult of Ignorance, sadness that they worship such a small, picayune bling-bling pimp daddy of a god, and disgust at the preachers and teachers and pastors and ministers and padres and priests and other charlatans who are getting rich off the membership of the Christian Cult of Ignorance, who take advantage of them through things like the different Creation Museums and conathons like the 700 Club.
