I am not really sure, what I do know is its not science.
OK, so you talk about things you do not know about at all. Got it. I will have to remember that.

No idea. I am trying to find a baseline to understand why you think that creationist lies are any different than the FSM and its comical alternative. I don't see how you can differentiate the two.
No idea. I am trying to find a baseline to understand why you think that standard universe origin lies are any different than the FSM and its comical alternative. I don't see how you can differentiate the two.
quote:
You have any proof of this? I am sure there are thousands of doctors who are interested in their job security.
Do you have any proof it is not so? Why bring up doctors?? Do you know some that can tell if there is a spirit in a person???
quote:
Why not let creation science publish perfect science? Its not like the rules are secret. Why should you advocate "imperfect science", do you make a habit of such things in other areas or only when it comes to science?
Who says the museums are based on science any more than your claims of some early big bang? Why would they need to be if you don't really know what you are talking about? ('you' meaning those that teach the standard models)
quote:
None, but what does this have to do with creationist lies?
Well, you claim that the universe started at some point where you have no, as you put it "none" proof at all at all at all. They claim it started at some other point they believe. Take your pick.

Re: How Sweet it is!
Care to come over to one of the science threads and showing how what is being taught is belief based and not reliant on the evidence?
Indeed!
How bout it, keys?
Care to show us a thing or two over on the science threads?

I am on topic, I started the topic. I tried to dial it down for the doc already. He missed it.

Perhaps you would do me the honor of re-stating the topic then.
Because it seems to me you are all over the map.

Since you are new to the boards, you may not have had the chance to read the rules.

Re: General items
quote:
Yup. And read it more literally than those who claim to be Literalists. For example there is not one Creation myth in the Bible but several.
I suppose the creative and imaginative mind could stretch that to dozens!
quote:
I don't doubt for a second that you are a Christian or that you believe the universe was created 6000 years ago. The former is definitely your decision but the later is simply a matter of ignorance.
Your saying so is all that is ignorant.
quote:
What makes you think I don't like something about the Bible? I have actually even read it.
So you believe, like Jesus, in the flood, and the first man, Adam?
quote:
Fine, present the evidence of that which is more than animal and show it is something not possessed by all the other animals and we can discuss it.
Fine, present the evidence that there is nothing that is more than animal and show it is something not also possessed by all the other animals and we can discuss it. Meanwhile, admit you know not about what it is you speak.
quote:
Please show where any such assertions were made by me? There is no hate speech involved, more a feeling of profound pity for all the ignorant members of the Christian Cult of Ignorance, sadness that they worship such a small, picayune bling-bling pimp daddy of a god, and disgust at the preachers and teachers and pastors and ministers and padres and priests and other charlatans who are getting rich off the membership of the Christian Cult of Ignorance, who take advantage of them through things like the different Creation Museums and conathons like the 700 Club.
Well, referring to the groups of believers as cons, and cults, and charlatans with a 'pimp daddy of a god' comes to mind! Should I be feeling the love in there somehow?

Always treat other members with respect. Argue the position, not the person. Avoid abusive, harassing and invasive behavior. Avoid needling, hectoring and goading tactics.

Re: How noodly be thy appendage?
It was about the creation museums going up. Of course, the concept of creation from a biblical perspective is the underlying concept there. So, things relating to that, are topical.

First we had the one in the US. Now, another one in Canada. I would not be surprised if many in different states and countries opened up over the next decade or so.
I think this is a good thing. A great thing. Long overdue.
Not because all the science is perfect, any more than it might be for the evolution proponents, but, because children deserve faith.
I plan to recommend both museums, and any more than spring up.
Again. I repeat.
Stay on topic.

Yessiree the decline and fall of the supernatural way of life may be seen these last desperate attempts of the ill-minded to salvage something from ancient texts that was never there to begin with. I suspect within a couple centuries that all such silliness will be looked at for the humourous illusion that it is.
Sad to think of all the lives who minds will be clouded by such wishful thinking and who's lives will miss out on the staggering grandeur of the world and wax content with the mere dust of long dead myths and stories.

Re: How noodly be thy appendage?
the concept of creation from a biblical perspective is the underlying concept
There are any number of threads that discuss "the concept of creation from a biblical perspective".
If you wish to discuss "the concept of creation from a biblical perspective", do so there.
If you feel the need to start a new thread, start one.
But you are WAY off topic here.

Well it's not on topic here. And also in the science threads participants are expected to debate the evidence and provide support for their position so they can't just go "nuh uh the earth is young cause the bible says so".
I suggest starting at RAZD's Message 1
