Re: My most recent back door ...
I was spreading my Grandmother's remains behind a stump podium at an outdoor amphitheatre dedicated to Granddad here
The College Lodge - Home
where I walked up both on a porcupine and this little fella out back. The lodge was a dream of my Grandfather. There are over 5 miles of trails as well as ravines, woods, streams, fields, a lagoon, and a pond. It has been a wildlife preserve since the 50s coming out of a discussion in the 30s.

Re: College Lodge
Yeah it is a great place to observe and think about nature (I hope you are doing well).
I also picked up this girl, I think, either on the way or on the way back from laying eggs.

Pine island underwater
jalbum, isn't that a pretty good tool? I used it to make my clubs web-site photo section. http://blackdirtsquadron.org/pictures.htm Also here is an aerial shot of the flooding that took place this spring in Pine Island NY where our flying club is. We own 11 acres in the middle of a bunch of onion fields.
That shot was taken after the water had receided a little. I will take some shots of around here and add them later. Nice thread.

Well Spring is long gone but ...
The Gardenias this year were fabulous and the Orange Blossoms overwhelming, the lilies flaming. Now is the time of courting...
And Poinsettias ...
and baby oranges...

Borrowed Backyard
This is the backyard for my "halfway house" -- a place where I can sit outside and watch the birds at the feeders and enjoy some sunshine and the smells of spring. This being spring the birds are in mating colors and fresh plumage and are looking their best, from goldfinches to bluejays to chickadees to sparrows etc etc etc. and we are past the spring poem: Spring is sprung the grass is rizz I wonders where the birdies is ...
