Sometime between 8 PM on Friday, July 27th, and 2 AM on Saturday, July 28th, the server which hosts EvC Forum will be going down for a period estimated to be no longer than 15 hours. The server should be up again by 7 PM on July 28th at the latest.

Site Going Down Sometime Tonight
Remember, the site will be taken down sometime tonight, Friday, at or after 8:00 PM ET (US). It will be up at or before 7:00 PM ET (US) tomorrow, Saturday. The duration of the downtime should not be longer than 15 hours.

Site is Back Up!
Welcome back, everyone! I apologize for the 18 extra hours of downtime. I'd ask our webhosting company to apologize, but they've never done anything wrong in known memory, just ask 'em, they'll tell ya. They moved their data center, which meant shutting down all the servers, packing them onto trucks, setting them up in another location, then rebooting. They said they could do it 12 hours, evidently they were off by only 100% or so. But we're back, everyone! Enjoy! Edited by Admin, : Grammar.

looks like somebody had the server's date set to 04-02-2003, and all posts made in the last few hours got that date, filing them four years back in the current topics list.
