Homosexuality and Natural Selection.

The last time a homosexuality discussion spun out of control it became a huge mess. I will shut this thread down immediately at the next sign of incivility.EvC Forum will not play host to the sensibilities of the easily offended. If you do not like what is being said in this thread to the point where you cannot maintain civility then stop participating before you ruin it for everyone and force me to shut this thread down.

I think if you read my Message 176 again you'll see that the concern is about lack of civility. In previous threads on homosexuality some members took offense at some opinions and felt that this gave them license to become accusatory and abusive toward everyone, including moderators. Finding fault with their behavior usually resulted in charges of being a homophobe.We're not having a repeat of this, so I'm issuing a warning that discussion had better remain civil or I will close this thread. Anyone who believes that it is possible for a dispassionately stated opinion to be so offensive as to make ignoring the Forum Guidelines and moderators allowable should cease participation in this thread (or any thread, actually) now.

You seem to be taking this personally. Are you somehow operating under the misimpression that my original post about civility was addressed to you? It wasn't. It wasn't addressed to anyone. It was a generally addressed statement of concern because I saw the initial signs of increasing incivility in some of the messages. I wasn't singling anyone out.
