My point is I will never get a point across to you personally whether I use many words or one. You didn't even look at the one word that was merely a suggestion. Edited by dameeva, : No reason given.

It's interesting that you read my physical analogy of your metaphorical statement as an objection. It wasn't meant to be an objection at all but perhaps it is as I disagree with you.
A child and thinking outside of the box do not equate with each other. I was meaning that a child doesn't haven't a thinking capacity as you suggested with the statement (It's thinking outside the box, like a child who isn't box-trained yet.) Maybe a child doesn't have a box to be in or out of?

dameeva writes: My point is I will never get a point across to you personally whether I use many words or one. Your task here isn't to get a point across to me. It's to get your point across to anybody. Else, why would you post at all? Instead of taking everything I say so negatively, why not look at it as helping you to express yourself more clearly? Heinrik writes: A child and thinking outside of the box do not equate with each other. "Equate" might not be the right term (and I didn't use it). But thinking outside the box is certainly what children do. It's what one one has to do before one becomes familiar with the box.
I was meaning that a child doesn't haven't a thinking capacity as you suggested with the statement (It's thinking outside the box, like a child who isn't box-trained yet.) "Thinking capacity" includes thinking inside the box and (as I said to dameeva earlier) the capacity to link outside-the-box thinking to the box. That linking capacity is what children tend to lack. It's also what seems to be lacking in this thread. “Faith moves mountains, but only knowledge moves them to the right place” -- Joseph Goebbels ------------- Help scientific research in your spare time. Thanks, I checked out the website pacifity of jesus and found it very interesting. It seems he contradicts his own rules.
But what if they are not his rules or guidelines? What if we are reading them wrong? What if they are his assessment of the situation at hand? What if he was reacting to different situations differently as was appropriate in the moment? This is what I am beginning to believe is the truth and really gives us the responsibility of making our own decisions without using jesus as a crutch.

Surely children haven't the capacity to think logically or reasonably until they are already in the box?

Heinrik writes: Surely children haven't the capacity to think logically or reasonably until they are already in the box? There's a world of difference between logical/reasonable thinking and in-the-box thinking. Since dameeva seems to have given up any pretense of discussing the topic, do you have anything to say about Wholley #$%^ing Jesus? “Faith moves mountains, but only knowledge moves them to the right place” -- Joseph Goebbels ------------- Help scientific research in your spare time. It's thinking outside the box, like a child who isn't box-trained yet. Do you mean like a child pees it's pants whilst being potty trained? I'm not sure what you mean. Can you elaborate? “This life’s dim windows of the soul, distorts the heavens from pole to pole, and goads you to believe a lie, when you see with and not through the eye.” -William Blake

This is metaphorically speaking. I said: "Do you mean like a child pees it's pants whilst being potty trained?"This is a literal translation of the same statement. To be honest, I thought the statement was pulled out of thin air without any thought or logic behind it, but that's only my opinion and I don't usually voice them. I try another angle which doesn't work either. ha ha Thanks so much.

Do you think that in-the-box thinking is not logical? If so, then I think we have totally opposite definitions.Personally I think it is just a narrow view point, not nessesarily a bad view point or wrong or irrational. Not at all. In-the-box is the normal and out the box is outside what is accepted by the majority. It depends which side of the fence you are on, don't you think?

Ah, so its a bit of a sarcastic jab at Ringo which I didn't understand because I neglected to read Ringo's post? Am I interpreting this correctly? “This life’s dim windows of the soul, distorts the heavens from pole to pole, and goads you to believe a lie, when you see with and not through the eye.” -William Blake
