You seem to be confusing "resolving the debate" or "winning the debate" with convincing everybody on earth that stupid ideas are stupid.
There will always be people who think the earth is flat, or there is no such thing as gravity or evolution is false. But there is no real debate about those topics. They
have been resolved.
