Problem posting???? arrggggg

I posted two messages in "... a continuation of the Aztec slavery discussion" topic, and the messages come out blank. For some reason, when you click 'edit' all of the text is there, but it doesn't display in the main window.------------------

I'm looking into this now - very mysterious. Any message longer than 2200 characters is not actually included within the HTML file for the page. It is instead written to another file and included into the HTML file using a Server Side Include (SSI).Just by visual inspection the HTML file seems fine, and the SSI statements in other HTML files are working fine, so I'll have to poke into this a bit more. My suspicion is that it's actually a bug in the Apache server software at the webhosting company, but it will take some time to eliminate the other possibilities, and some more time to convince them it's their problem and not mine.In the meantime, fear not! As you've already discovered, your messages are really there, and I should be able to make them visible sometime today.--Percy

Problem fixed.Please, everyone, let me know with a post to this thread if you find any new message pages with missing message text. Messages longer than 2200 characters in new pages (a new page is created every 15 messages, since there are only 15 messages per page) created since yesterday afternoon will be missing because of incorrect permissions. I can easily fix the permissions on any HTML page where it is incorrect, but I have to know about it first. Thanks!--Percy
