Whenever my wife and I go to the mall, we always tell each other "see you later" and then proceed on our seperate ways. She'd go look at clothes and stuff. I just go to borders. In borders, I'd pick out the marvel heroes encyclopedia (very thick book), choose a comfortable couch, and read through the characters. Been doing this for the last couple years.

According to the encyclopdedia, Charles Xavier is generally agreed as the most powerful mutant on Earth. If we are talking about the movie Xavier, I'd agree with this statement. However, if we are talking about the comic book Xavier, I'd have to disagree.
In the movie, Xavier is so powerful he is actually capable of (but not willing to) kill every on the face of the planet at the same time. But in the comic book, he is limited to reading people's minds, sending psychic stunts (sort of like electric shock), and wipe out someone's entire consciousness (he did this with magneto after magneto ripped Logan's metal skeleton out of his body... sad end for Wolverine). However, everytime Xavier does this he is weakened greatly.
I personally think the most powerful mutant on Earth according to the comic book is actually Apocalypse. He's also the oldest living mutant on Earth.
