IAJ writes: Like the natives - they [Palestinians] lost: the consolation is, they lost to the original owners - not invaders from Europe. Muslims, by way of example, have lived there for at least 1300 years (if one defines Palestinians by this faith alone), and during that time had allowed Jews to live alongside them. They now find themsleves penned into settlements riddled with poverty. You still haven't answered my question. Would you, as an American (I assume), hand over the control of the U.S. to Native American tribes? They were, after all, the original "owners". The parallels here are totally clear. Your consistent dodging of this question speaks volumes.

quote: This is incorrect: only jews were referred to as palestine prior to 1960. Because this was the Jewish homeland. It was never a muslim palestinian homeland. jews have lived here 4000 years. Nor did jews live peacably in Arab lands: just because there was no holocaust is hardly an applicable marker here. And why should Jews depend on Islamic generosity [sic] - they have a homeland.
quote: They are also the least effected displaced people on the planet - they need not resort to genocide and falsehoods to achive their goals. How come there are no Jewish refugees with the same plight - when these were of greater numbers, were not afforded citizenship in any arab lands, pogromed and massacred - what's the UN Reso #?
[quote]
quote: Of course I answered it. You obviously have a brick wall facade about it: apply your own criteria to tell the Pals there is no right of return after failed genocidal attacks on a legally established state. You also omit this situation is not related to your anology: Jews returned to *THEIR* homeland - not a Palestinian or native American homeland. Jews did not attack another people - its the other way around, and continues. None of the arab states were as legally established: Jews were not asked to vote at the Motion for Arab states - no one voted and these are non-historic oil based border states; the Arabs voted in the Motion for Israel. I did not initiate this subject. A sentence which related to a 3000 year relic of king David and the original philistines, aroused a string of verbals and a history depiction which does not allign with this planet.

If that is the case why would the British Government, which had a mandate on the area, after WW1 until the formation of Israel, issue stamps, in 1920, with Palestine in Arabic, English & Hebrew. if only Jews lived there?

Because thiese were the languages spoken here, as is seen today. I never said only jews lived here: they were displaced from here. How can a land displaced of its people remain empty in the centre of the M/E - specially where there is a doctrine to negate Israel's history with Pretend Pals? genocide comes in many flavours.

quote: On this planet, Jesus could not have been a Palestinian - an historical impossibility. The same applies to Moses being a muslim, the Jerusalem temple site being a myth, and that there were muslim palestinians for 100s of years - never mind since the time of Abraham - when neither the arab race or islam existed. In fact, I asked for any evidence whatsoever, of any muslim palestinians prior to Israel's re-establishment; anything on this planet which condones a muslim palestinian state: national anthems, coins, independence day celebrations, a newspaper from any islamic sector denoting a muslim palestinian state or that jerusalem was its capital. It is a reasonable request.

IAJ,
How does that really relate to the topic of this thread? Do you not know how to request a new topic/thread? Thank you

It does not relate. My post only responds to yours, which asked, 'THIS PLANET'?

I have proposed a new "Palestine" thread, so we can free up this thread for other discussion.
Here is what it will look like. http://EvC Forum: Palestine -->EvC Forum: Palestine No need to debate Palestine in this thread now.
Every Good Man Is Free

For those who don't know, Dennis Miller is a comedian
who has a show called Dennis Miller Live on HBO. He is not Jewish. He recently said the following about the Modest situation: "A brief overview of the situation is always valuable, so as a serviceto all Americans who still don't get it, I now offer you the story of the Middle East in just a few paragraphs, which is all you really need. Here we go: The Palestinians want their own country. There's just one thing about that: There are no Palestinians. It's a made up word. Israel was called Palestine for two thousand years. Like "Wiccan," "Palestinian" sounds ancient but is really a modern invention Before the Israelis won the land in the 1967 war,Gaza was owned by Egypt, the West Bank was owned by Jordan, and there were no "Palestinians." As soon as the Jews took over and started growingoranges as big as basketballs, what do you know, say hello to the "Palestinians," weeping for their deep bond with their lost "land" and "nation." So for the sake of honesty, let's not use the word "Palestinian"anymore to describe these delightful folks, who dance for joy at our deaths, until someone points out they're being taped. Instead, let's call them what they are: "Other Arabs Who Can't Accomplish Anything In Life And Would Rather Wrap Themselves In The Seductive Melodrama Of Eternal Struggle And Death." I know that's a bit unwieldy to expect to see on CNN.How about this, then: "Adjacent Jew-Haters." Okay, so the Adjacent Jew-Haters want their own country. Oops, just one more thing. No, they don't. They could've had their own country any time in the last thirty years, especially two years ago at Camp David but if you have your own country, you have to have traffic lights and garbage trucks and Chambers of Commerce, and, worse, you actually have to figure out some way to make a living. That's no fun. No, they want what all the otherJew-Haters in the region want: Israel. They also want a big pile of dead Jews, of course -- that's where the real fun is -- but mostly they want Israel. Why? For one thing, trying to destroy Israel - or "The Zionist Entity"as their textbooks call it -- for the last fifty years has allowed the rulers of Arab countries to divert the attention of their own people away from the fact that they're the blue-ribbon most illiterate, poorest, and tribally backward on God's Earth, and if you've ever been around God's Earth . . . you know that's really saying something. It makes me roll my eyes every time one of our pundits waxes poeticabout the great history and culture of the Muslim Midleast. Unless I'm missing something, the Arabs haven't given anything to the world since Algebra, and, by the way, thanks a hell of a lot for that one. Chew this around & spit it out: 500 million Arabs; 5 million Jews.Think of all the Arab countries as a football field, and Israel as a pack of matches sitting in the middle of it. And now these same folks swear that, if Israel gives them half of that pack of matches, everyone will be pals.. Really? Wow, what neat news. Hey, but what about the string of wars toobliterate the tiny country and the constant din of rabid blood oaths to drive every Jew into the sea? Oh, that? We were just kidding. My friend Kevin Rooney made a gorgeous point the other day:Just reverse the Numbers. Imagine 500 million Jews and 5 million Arabs. I was stunned at the simple brilliance of it . Can anyone picture the Jews strapping belts of razor blades and dynamite to themselves? Of course not. Or marshaling every fiber and force at their disposal for generationsto drive a tiny Arab State into the sea? Nonsense. Or dancing for joy at the murder of innocents? Impossible. Or spreading and believing horrible lies about the Arabs baking their bread with the blood of children? Disgusting. No, as you know, left to themselves in a world of peace, the worst Jews would ever do to people is debate them to death. Mr. Bush, God bless him, is walking a tightrope. I understand that, with vital operations in Iraq and others, it's in our interest, as Americans, to try to stabilize our Arab allies as much as possible, and, after all, that can't be much harder than stabilizing a roomful of super models who've just had their drugs taken away. However, in any big-picture strategy, there's always a dangerof losing moral weight. We've already lost some. After September 11th, our president told us and the world he was going to root out all terrorists and the countries that supported them. Beautiful. Then the Israelis, after months and months of having the equivalent of an Oklahoma City every week (and then every day), start to do the same thing we did, and we tell them to show restraint. If America were being attacked with an Oklahoma City every day,we would all very shortly be screaming for the administration to just be done with it and kill everything south of the Mediterranean and east of the Jordan. Please feel free to pass this along to your friendsWalk in peace! Be Happy! Have a wonderful life

IAJ writes: Jews returned to *THEIR* homeland. Ok, so would you accept that Native Americans have a claim to control of their "homeland"?
IAJ writes: Jews did not attack another people. Neither did the Native Americans. Their lands were invaded by Europeans. You really don't see what I'm getting at here do you? If you don't accept that the U.S. must be handed back to Native American tribes then how can you expect Palestinians to surrender all control of their homes to Jews? It's a clear double-standard. It's a very simple question. Would you happily hand over control of the U.S. to Native American tribes who were there before European settlers? Yes or no, no fudging.

quote: Its hardly a question, leave aside being simple. Ask it to those who falsely claim this as their land, as they falsely claim to be Palestinians, that this was their state for untold generations, and a 1000 other falsehoods. If your question is so simple, why not tell them some zionist invaders from Mars took their land - and they cannot get it back. Site the American natives as your example - why put it for Israel, who's already in their own land. You are proclaiming genocide, while hiding behnd a falsely contrived Pretend Pal syndrome with the same agenda: only because of the Jew factor. Your question can NEVER EVER apply to Jews in Palestine, or compare this with native Americans. In Palestine, Jews are akin to the American natives - only their history is far better documented. IMHO, even Jordan is an illegal and immoral creation, and Israel should take back the Sinai: land is not returned when the attacking party loses. That Jews have never stolen anyone's lands in all their 4000 year history - even refusing substitute lands a 1000 times larger and richer in Australia and Africa - says something. But Israel and Jews are always subjected to different rules, right? Or is this a test unto those who perpertrate such bias? The Arabs wish to ratify their theological falsehoods here - by teaching its peoples that Moses was a Muslim [was he now - the Arabs never followed Moses ever], and by giving some credibility their prophet ascended from Jerusalem: while this is a total historical lie - even if it were true it is no reason to claim another peoples' homeland, nor erect mosques in their 1st holiest site, burn 3000 year burial sites, use tomb stones of revered sages as floor tiles, and post signs 'DOGS & JEWS FORBIDDEN IN JERUSALEM AND HEBRON'. This was also done in India - and the Babri mosque was destroyed. Now it appears the Pretend Pals will get a state - thanks to Israel being overwhelmed by a world of bias and blackmail, and saying YES to every deathly demand. But - this will result in disaster later, and I predict some 20 Arab states will fall. They are going to desecrate Jerusalem to the hilt, calling it 'AL QUDS' [sic], and there will be a face-off with Christianity: the crusades will recur as christian realise that Jesus is being thought of as a Palestinian and a Muslim. Jews have survived exile and loss of their homeland numerously, and survived. Will the Arabs - who have never experienced Club Med?
