Re: Looks like the Super Genome may be coming.
I would be careful in accepting these recent findings. Their methods still need to stand up to debate.
What?
You can't be serious.
Are you saying you shouldn't stop once you get the answer you want?
Get real.

Immigration has been a problem Since 1607!

I hope you are being sarcastic. After reading Faith's post about not believing radiocarbon dating because she doesn't understand it, I'm not sure I can assume someone is serious or sarcastic on these forums. Also, sarcasm doesn't read well in the written word.

Re: What is a super-genome
My question is why do creationists refuse the idea of genetic information being created?
Because they think that would support their position that evolution of novel characteristics cannot occur.
Do they only want some supernatural power to create all genetic information?
Certainly, although they might allow that human intelligences could create genetic information.

Re: Looks like the Super Genome may be coming.
The ultimate tactic will be to attack genetics at core - not scientifically, just through assertion - as they have done with every other killer evidence. Start with C14 dating - killer to the timescale, therefore is isn't reliable and not worth considering (not 'it isn't reliable because we got readings five times younger' - they can't do that because the multiples are so huge they sound silly even saying it).
Next archaelogy - clear evidence of pre-creation civilisations. Killer - ahh that relies on the C14 which we've already shown is unreliable...
No use trying to mutter about styles of pottery or type of furnace or insect, grass&pollen spores and the host of other supporting methods and data used...they only need one point of attack.
So for this argument the problem is that genetic code is wrong. It cannot be right because it doesn't support the Ark therefore by definition it must be wrong.
The interest lies in waiting to see if there is one knowledgable enough to even talk vaguely about genetics without sounding like a fool, and then which line of attack he will try....

More news about Oetzi
There is yet more information about Oetzi.
As I pointed out back in Message 1, Oetzi would have been contemporary with Adam and so likely very closely related and as pointed out in a recent BBC News story his genetics shows he was from a family that likely originated in the Middle East, was lactose intolerant which would be reasonable for those early farmer/herders just recently thrown out of the foraging lifestyle of the Garden of Eden.
He had brown eyes and was predisposed to heart disease. There is also indications that he suffered from Lyme disease.
