funding
science being funded by the goverment in the US has been bittersweet. the goverment only funds science that has a proven base and has not supported the exploration of theories that need funding to become "proven"
many of the greatest scientific discoveries were discovered through private funding.
im hopeing that the cuts from goverment funding might in some way bring about more private fundings. i beleive that physics is far from its potential in being properly understood and used for the betterment of mankind.
to solve funding , private investors need a place to go to offer their funding to scientist who are asking, by bringing awarness to a funder of the potentials of the science being explored.
private funding would also allow scientists to explore their science with less limitations.
thats my take anyways.

Re: funding
well. truthfully, orginizations have given away money for alot less lol
if its tax diductable, why not give charity money to science ? at least then the giver might feel that there makeing a difference in the human race, as opposed to flushing it to a "charity" that gives only 5% to the charity and pockets the rest.

Re: funding
yeah i caught it, i thought it was funny
could such a place for scientists and investors to meet up gain media attention?
it would take some planning, but a site designed for that purpose could escalate scientific discovery. im not that web sauvy personally.
