Re: differentiating between the observation and the theory
a geological moment more than 500 million years ago
That "moment" was at least 20,000,000 years long, ICANT. And it now appears that it had another multi-million-year moment leading up to it in the Ediacaran.

Re: Sudden Appearances
Lucy that I talked about the last couple of days has 8 different skeletons and none of them the same. All of which are claimed to be exact copies of the 40% skeleton that is locked away.
But she isn't "locked away." I saw her - the realio, trulio fossil bones - in Houston last month. And there is only the one australopithecine that was named "Lucy."

Re: Sudden Appearances
I always thought if something was stored in a specially design safe it was locked away.
Goes to show you how stupid I am.
Just keep believing everything you are told.
I don't believe everything I'm told, ICANT. There was quite a big fuss over letting Lucy out of the vault to go on her US tour:

Re: Sudden Appearances
But if you can't see the real one in Ethiopia I doubt very seriously if you saw the real one in Houston.
The 3D model of Lucy - with "flesh and bones" - was in a case on the west wall. The ACTUAL FUCKING FOSSIL was in a case in the center of the room. Do you really think that there would be a fuss over taking a replica of the fossil out of Ethiopia?
Damn, man! Get over yourself!

Amazing, what holds all those chemicals together?
Chemical bonds. I'll stake my professional reputation on it.

Re: Sudden Appearances
Now I am not saying anybody else would do that.
I am saying that I would do it.
Remind me not to buy, borrow or rent anything from you.

Re: Sudden Appearances
All chemicals I know about are liquid.
Then you know nothing at all about chemicals. Not even salt or limestone, I suppose.....
