Re: Howdy Neighbor!
What about another pioneer probe to go by some planets not yet visited and then with an ultimate destination?
I'd expect to have some information before such was ready from analysis of atmosphere etc.
We'd also be able to run a check on that acceleration anomaly issue with a properly designed and calibrated satellite.
Lots of good information.

Re: Life? If so, abiogensis or panspermia?
It could also turn out to be based on amino acids similar to what we have here, but still not be the same DNA style life ... perhaps never getting past RNA replication?

Not on topic
Welcome aboard tymygy. Sorry to have to admonish you so quickly but your post has little to nothing to do with the topic of this thread.
We try to keep each thread on topic, please help out.
You post would make the beginnings of a good opening post in the proposed new topics though.
You would have to copy it to a new post and add you calculations supporting the numbers you have arrived at. I'm afraid you may have pulled it off some site that is a bit careless with the truth. In which case you will find the details that you supply will be ripped to little, tiny quivering pieces. But if you really think your statistical calculations are correct then you really should start a new thread on them.
There are a few posting here who are actual mathematicians and will help you sort them out.

the probibility of us coming here by accident is 10 to the 40,000 power.(one with 40,000 zeros behine it)
Please explain where you're getting those numbers.

sorry for not explaining the numbers... but... a scientist did research on what makes up other material such as atoms to molicules... and the research was that if all of those material can accidentaly create life and sustain it is 10 to the pwoer of 40,000 and you get the rest...

Now you need to support those calculations. What were the factors considered? Until you present those there is nothing to discuss.
Hint, the "a scientist" is Fred Hoyle.
That should give you a place to start.

We really can't tell what the origin of life is. There is no diffintive proof of either theory, so why don't we live it at that?
As to the exploration of this planet, it might take a while till we get a probe there. Can you imagine the accruracy required to send the probe there? The slightest miscalculation will throw it WAY off. And to fix that problem will take a few years (sending the command to the probe to shift vourse heading). Besides, between the 420 or so years it would take to send the probe there and now, we'll probably discover hyperspace or warp space, or groovey wavy space and we'll get there before the probe itself...

That's the spirit!
You know, Reality, I do abiogenesis research and I can state, with absolute confidence, that we'll cook up life from raw materials within my lifetime.
We are this close to creating an artificial lifeform as it is (Venter's work with artificial genomes).
Creating life is just a technical problem. And if science is good with anything, it's technical problems.
As to the exploration of this planet, it might take a while till we get a probe there. Can you imagine the accruracy (sic) required to send the probe there?
No one is suggesting a probe anytime soon. But again, launching a probe is just a technical problem.
And to fix that problem will take a few years (sending the command to the probe to shift vourse (sic) heading).
You are assuming the probe would be dependent on our commands.
PS

RE; You are uninformed
If you only read the book"The Mystery of life Origin:Reassessin current theories"or read some Dean Kenyon'S paper then you will not have any trouble.
