One of my beefs with teaching evolution is that evos seem more concerned over what people believe rather than what they understand.
What interesting fantasies you have about your opponents.
What does it matter if students not accept evo theory if they understand it? I would think letting students hear strong criticisms of evo theory would help them understand it better.
At least half of the "strong criticisms of evolution" involve lying about what the theory of evolution is. Obviously this is not going to help anyone to understand evolution, and indeed it is demonstrably the case that people who have been duped by such creationist lies do not understand the theory of evolution.

Re: uh huh?
And my opinion is the exact opposite.
Then your opinion is demonstrably wrong.
Not only are the criticisms valid and not lying...
Er ... you can't deceive me by telling me that, I've seen the creationist criticisms.
... but evos present the theory of evolution in a highly deceptive manner.
I.e. they teach the actual theory of evolution, the one that appears in biology textbooks, rather then the mish-mash of stupid nonsense that creationists have made up and pretend is "the theory of evolution".
In Opposite World, I guess that is deceptive.
So let students hear the arguments and consider them for themselves, provided they can argue either way just as well.
Would you like to take another run at that sentence?

Re: ID research as it relates to Dover
natural selection is not exclusive evidence of Darwinian evolution, nor imo is it evidence at all since it works against increasing genetic diversity and so against macroevolution.
So, you've made over 5700 posts on this forum and you still haven't found out what evolution is or how it works.
I suggest that either you read a basic biology textbook or that you take up a less intellectually demanding hobby, such as basketweaving.
