Hi t4c, I can't find where Paul changed subjects from speaking in tongues, interperting, or the prophets speaking to anything else.
So you are saying because Paul said it was a shame for a woman to speak in tongues, interpet tongues, or speak as a prophet he said they could not speak at all in the church.Live and learn everyday.Have fun,

Hi Taz, This is exactly what Hill Billy is talking about in this thread.You think because I am a creationist I am stupid.Taz the Bible is my life, just like some of these people science is their life.So don't tell me what the Bible says.If you or anyone wants to understand it all you have to do is ask 5 questions about a passage. The same questions a reporter need to have answers too. To write a good story.
Who is talking.
What are they talking about.
To whom are they talking.
Why are they talking.

Hi Taz, I have no doubt as I have met a lot in my lifetime that was pastoring churches.I have met a lot of them on this web site.Taz I am not very smart. I only made straight A's in school grades 1-16. I take that back I did make one B for one six week period in algebra.Then I wasted my life by most of my friends standards because I became a preacher and pastored and build churches. I built a lot of other things also.And yes I feel that there are those on here who think they are better than anybody else. There is no problem with that until it begins to show in their writings in their posts.I also know several on here that are great people. RAZD and Modulous are a couple. I have been able to learn much from them. Then there are creationist on here that are the same as the evolutionist that believe they are better than anyone else and it shows in their posts.When it comes to science I know very little. But I am learning.
When it comes to the Bible I know volumes. I study it at least 6 hours a day even spending as much time on here as I have the last couple of weeks.Am I better than anyone. That would be dependend on whom I comparing myself too. Since I choose to compare myself to Jesus I am nothing and I know nothing.Have fun,

Hi arach, Sounds like they got around almost as much as I did.
After 1973 The only ones involved in the school that I kept up with was two of my professors who moved to California. There is only one left alive now.You know how you don't like my Genesis approach well they didn't either only my professor and one other student. I was pastoring a church in the area and about a year after school we had an agreement to disagree and went separate ways.If they are in Brandon I will have to look them up and see what their theology is these days. Hi Hill Billy, I think it is perfectly clear. Paul was talking about speaking in tongues and prophesying. Since those gifts are not operative today why can't they speak as my ladies even ask questions during the sermon. But they ask me as I am the one lecturing. Hi Hill Billy, What has a strange way of getting information to do with it. I am sure if you follow me much you will think I do strange things sometimes.After all this is a debate board. I learned a little about debating in High school about 54 years ago. You need to get the opposition to answer your question giving you the answer you expect and want. After studying it for 45+ years I am pretty convinced the churches were having a problem with speaking in tongues and prophesying that no body could learn anything in the service and Paul was trying to put an end to the confusion. Even though the universe exists and I am here presenting this message it is just a fairy tale as it is wishful thinking. In other words a bunch of hogwash.But you with all your education can say in the long ago 13+ billion years ago there was this small something that was in a place that did not exist yet and we don't know where it came from or why. It just appeared from nowhere in nothing and started to expand into the universe we see today.Can you step back for a moment and explain to this dumb dirt farmer how that is supposed to be more acceptable than me saying God created the heaven and the earth.Maybe I don't know where my God came from.But you can't tell me where yours came from either.Maybe that was my God.
