sorry to nag, buttt
when you right a verse from the bible like Hebrews 2:9 please use the colon it looks like chapter 2 through chapter 9 but this is a good point I can't argue with what it says but I have been raised the same that Jesus is divine, I think it has more to do with "the one who knew no sin became sin for us" almost like the story of hercules(in this case Jesus) who became mortal(or human/sin) to marry a mortal(human/sinner) wife(the curch)

Re: sorry to nag, buttt
but can you think of a better way to show his unconditional love than becoming a lesser being just for us?

Re: sorry to nag, buttt
he does accept us but he wants us to be the best we can be just like a loving parent if we sin aka do something wrong he punishes us is that not what your parents did when you were bad

Re: sorry to nag, buttt
just cause you get punished does not mean you are not loved so you sinned God can't be with sin thats why he turned from his son Jesus when he had the sins poured apon him ya you didn't accept Christ your still loved like a parent that spanks you they don't not love you they just must punish you for what you did with no punishment whats the point of being good if there were no laws why would I hold back from killing you? he didn't atone for his sins he didn't sin otherwise the atonement would be usless we sinned he atoned for us

Re: sorry to nag, buttt
haha I love the sarcasim he does send you to hell but you refusing his sacrifice is alot different then stealing a cookie from the cookie jar there is only one unforgiven sin that would be not accepting him because if to you he never exsited than why would it matter him having mercy would be like an imaginary friend having mercy if you never believed in him

Re: sorry to nag, buttt
I apologize, I am new at this being a teen I'm used to IM talk.
Just because you get punished does not mean you are not loved. So you sinned. God can't be with sin thats why he turned from his son Jesus, when he had the sins poured apon him. Okay, you didn't accept Christ your still loved, like a parent that spanks you they don't stop loving you they just must punish you for what you. Did with no punishment what's the point of being good, if there were no laws why would I hold back from killing you?
He didn't atone for his sins he didn't sin otherwise the atonement would be usless we sinned he atoned for us

Re: The Flood?
Acually the babies are given mercy and yes they died because of their parents misjudgements, but when they died they went to heaven just like when a parent abords a child the parents mistake causes the babies death but the baby still goes to heaven

Matthew 18:2-4
"2He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
Matthew 19:13-15
" 13Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
14Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." 15When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there."
