Re: behe's university
I see "Leihgh" in the picture. What is it suppose to be?

Re: behe's university
Reminds me of an incident in college. After a late night orchestra rehearsal, we decided that we all should just leave our folders in the rehearsal room because we were going to come back the next early morning to rehearse some more anyway. Next morning, we all came in and all of our music were gone. "What happened to all of our music?" people started asking. The director was just as puzzled as everyone else. After turning up the whole building trying to find our music, we decided to give up and call it a day.
Few days later, we finally figured out what happened with our music. The custodian decided throw out all of our folders with our music in them. Apparently, he thought the entire orchestra didn't want all of our music anymore. I think that was about a thousand dollars worth of music.
Does such... stupidity reflect the institution as a whole? I'm pretty sure the people that misspelled "Lehigh" didn't actually take classes there.

Q: How many Republican Presidential candidates from 1988 did it take to change a lightbulb?
A: (Dole) When I was a poor boy growing up in Kansas we didn't have light bulbs. Now I have the housekeeper do it.
A: (DuPont) Light bulbs need to be changed? Gosh. I guess the servants have always taken care of that... With a DuPont administration, the power of the free market will be unleashed to produce light bulbs that never need changing.
A: (Robertson) Oh, Lord, with thy divine illumination, heal this light bulb!
A: (Kemp) It's morning in America! Why should we worry about light bulbs? Let those doom-crying Democrats worry about light bulbs! [stumble over chair in the dark].
A: (Haig) One. Snap to it, soldier!
A: (Bush) None. (Bush in an earnest lap dog voice) I resent that question. I've answered it before, and I think the media are keeping this thing alive. I think the American people are TIRED of light bulb jokes.

Re: Siberian quantum tiger
A 17 year old got mawed to death, and you put the news in humor?

Owing to the deficiency of the English language, I have occasionally used the academic jargon generator to produce phrases that even I don't fully understand. The jargons are not meant to offend anyone or to insult anyone's intelligence!

Re: One for the more sophisticated members...
I don't understand how you could link a youtube to a farting preacher vid. I thought youtube removed all the farting preacher vids because of copyright violation long ago.

Re: Uncyclopedia on Conservapedia
OMG, I never knew either one of these existed.
Open source according to Uncyclopedia. It's actually true. Being someone that has spent many many many many hours trying to get open source softwares to work, this article has brought back a lot of memories.

HowTo:Install Linux according to Uncyclopedia.
Seriously, even though it's funny as hell, it's all true. I shit you not. Here is a section that is particularly true.
quote:
Sit back and wait for the "Congratulations" message.
Reboot the PC and pray you see a desktop.
Open a Terminal and sue to root. Ok, that's su root but don't worry, this command will become second nature, rather like saying "I do" to the wife.
Marvel at how you're typing in commands like cd /etc/sysconfig/network and vi config and editing files to enter lines like FORCE_PERSISTENT_NAMES=no or running suseconfig and then cursing because Linux is case sensitive and won't recognize it unless you type SuSEconfig.
If the above fails, install Ubuntu. It installs just as easy as Windows, and you can play games on the Live CD while you do it. (Just be warned, you'll be instantly labeled as a "n00b at linux lol" because you're installing it the easy way.)
Slam your head against the wall, while you try to find drivers for your video card that work.
Uninstall the video drivers and then reinstall them, as the kernal did not get installed correctly.
Enable Desktop effects, and waste 5 hours jiggling windows around and watching as the wiggle.
I'm one of those that has a lot of patience... ok not really. When I went to some hardcore linux forums to ask a few questions, I got two 1 word answers and 20 "you're stupid" answers.
Let's face it, the linux community is not that friendly toward newbies. It took me the last 5 years to be able to use linux with ease and I still consider myself a newbie.
Added by edit.
And I speak as someone that is currently using open source softwares. In fact, open source makes up 98% of all the softwares I use, including the various compilers and whatnot.

Hillbilly math
This is the most hillarious thing I've ever seen.
Notice that this reflects the frustration that we have here in the EvC debate.

You don't know Jack Schitt...
The lineage is now revealed. Many people are at a loss for a response when someone says "You don't know Jack Schitt," but now you can handle this situation with confidence!
Jack is the only son of O. Schitt and Awe Schitt. O. Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, married Awe Schitt, the owner of Knee-deep N.Schitt, Inc.
In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt, and the deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Giva Schitt, Bull Schitt and the twins, Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt.
Against her parents objections, Deep Schitt married Dump Schitt, a high school drop-out. After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Mr. Scherlock, and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt-Sherlock.
Dip Schitt married Loada Schitt and they produced a nervous son, Chicken Schitt. Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The wedding announcement in the newspapers announced the Schitt-Happens wedding. They created a bumper sticker and made millions. You've probably seen it...
The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd and Hoarse. Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new bride Pisa Schitt.
So now when someone says, "You don't know Jack Schitt," you can correct them and inform them of your more than deep knowledge of the family tree.
