I asked what was the "Problem" with incorrect spelling when you can clearly understand it.
Because it is problematic to read. While it "can" be read, it is not "easy" to read. Because so much time is spent having to decode what it is that you said, it distracts from what you are trying to say.
Thus, communication is hindered. If you are trying to convey a point, it helps if you reduce distractions so that your point is the only thing on the receiver's mind.

YES! It may take a little longer to read and may take a little effort but a lot more time for those learning to spell and type in order to be heard.
And thus, communication is hindered. Don't you think it would behoove you to make your point more easily received?
So what you're saying is that it is better for your entire audience to have to fight to understand you than for you to fight to be understood? It is better to inconvenience a hundred people, possibly losing them in the process, than to inconvenience one?

Thank you for your submission to Science. Your paper was reviewed by a jury of seventh graders so that they could look for balance and to allow them to make up their own minds. We are sorry to say that they found your paper "bogus," specifically describing the section on the laboratory work "boring." We regret that we will be unable to publish your work at this time.

Did you have a problem reading the mispelled passage in the OP?
Yes.

pelican responds to me:

I wonder if you recognise words by the sound of them?
Well, I do have a tape-recorder memory, but it's more that I am too familiar with words that when they are jumbled up, I start to find anagrams and if you force me to descramble the word, I won't necessarily come up with the one you meant.
Ever play Word Whomp? Or Jumble? Or Scrabble? I used to have a subscription to Games magazine for the longest time. There was a substitute teacher when I was in high school who tried to scam us with his "super memory" spiel who tried to show us how disorganized our thoughts were by shouting out if anybody could tell what position in the alphabet the letter "i" was, thinking that we'd have to manually count it out.
I, of course, immediately called out, "Nine." I've done so many word puzzles that I know the numeric position of the alphabet by heart. I can also recite it backwards without thinking.
