Re: Rahvin Flies Away With It
So sure was I that this deserved a nomination that I held off doing it myself to see how long it would take, and it wasn't very long. This is definitely one post not to miss.

Straggler on Science
Straggler posted this a couple days ago, but I delayed posting a nomination until Rob had an opportunity to reply. Don't miss this one. While Rob's position is uniquely his own, Straggler's refutation is a bold and clear presentation of how real world realities govern the true nature of science:

Re: Rahvin Flys Away With It
I concur with and second the nomination: your posts are often good but I thought this was a cracker.
Good job.

Re: Straggler on Science
Heartily seconded.
Straggler's analysis is flawless, never verbose and always eloquent. At one point I thought I might have spotted a refinement of the argument being made, only to discover that Straggler was way ahead of me; the point I would have made was right there in the very next paragraph.
Well done Straggler!

Re: Straggler on Science
Many thanks to both Percy and yourself. The debate in question is my first go at a one on one 'Great Debate' here at EvC and I know I have handled it far from perfectly. Rob has some outlandish ideas and I have found it very difficult to pin him down at times. The post you have highlighted forms the crux of my argument against his position and I am glad it has been appreciated by somebody at least!!
Cheers

lyx2no... on liberty (so to speak)
I'll nominate just about any post by Lyx2no in the Coffee House thread "Casualty of Healing". While he began by seconding my own position, his later posts have gained a clarity and efficiency I cannot muster, despite trying very hard. I feel more like I am seconding Lyx at this point, and perhaps poorly so.
The only posts not covered by this nom are the very short replies... since they are not really case building or defending.
Two particularly good posts are Message 76 and Message 99 (if I have to get to specifics).
Edited by Silent H, : specifics
