From foxnows, http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,365561,00.html

Bush says

quote:
"I think that in retrospect I could have used a different tone, a different rhetoric," he said. Phrases such as "bring them on" or "dead or alive," he said, "indicated to people that I was, you know, not a man of peace."

That really made me laugh.

Thats what indicated that to people? How about when he declared on national TV that “I’m a war president”?

Or how about when he went into a two wars?

Hilarious Baseball At-bat
Whether you're a fan of baseball or not, you'll love this. There's two videos. The top one is short and all you really need to watch, but the bottom one contains the full 8-minute at-bat and is well worth watching, too:

Switch-Hitter Meets Switch-Pitcher

I read on a blog that by major-league baseball rules the umpires got it wrong. The pitcher has to pick an arm and stick with it through the entire at-bat. The batter can switch sides between pitches, but not after the pitcher is ready to pitch.

Is this for real? Anyone know?

I'm trying to see things your way, but I can't put my head that far up my ass.

Re: Japanese train
I have read about people there with the job of "packing" the trains. I think it is real.

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain
Love the previous clip, Dylan Moran is fantastic. Anyone who enjoyed that should track down more of his stand-up or the excellent sitcom Black Books, in which he stars.

Alternatively, anyone who's not previously encountered the sublime Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain really, really ought to check this out. It's a half hour show from Radio 4, hosted by Phil Jupitus.

If you've never heard "Anarchy in the UK" played on the ukulele, you haven't lived! :)
