    Re-Trinity
I am a born again child of the King.
I would like to share my understanding of the Trinity.
Gen. 1:26 (KJV) And God said Let us make man in our image, after our likeness......
Matt 22:37 (KJV) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
According to Jesus God made us Physical (heart), Spiritual (soul) and Intellectual (mind).
From this description Jesus gave I would understand that we are a triune being.
    Therefore God is a Trinity.
    God the Father all knowledge.
God the Son a physical body that could inhabit earth and die for our sins. John 3:16-18
God the Holy Spirit the sealing power of God, to guide us in all Truth. Eph. 4:30 sealed, John 16:13 to guide
As I understand the Bible to teach we will not meet God the Father until the New Jerusalem is upon the new earth of Rev. 21:1-3
At this time we will fully understand the Trinity, until then our finite minds can only guess what the Trinity is. But then we will see God in all His Glory. Even so come Lord Jesus.
    Hope to see you there.

You believe in Trinity, but must not explain like that, is more like this
Father + Son + Holy Spirit = God
God has 3 manifestations, like water has 3 states

You believe in Trinity, but must not explain like that, is more like this
    Why not?
Did God make us in His image?
If so how are we in the image of God?
God has 3 manifestations, like water has 3 states
I can see Ice, put it in a pot boil, it turns to water when it reaches 212 degrees it becomes steam, and I can see all three phases.
I have a record that Moses looked on the glory of God.
Exod 33:22 (KJS) And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
Now this would have been All three in One.
Many saw Jesus and testified of that.
Many saw the results of the Holy Spirit and that can be seen today.
The only people to see God that I am aware of is Adam, Eve, Enoch, and Moses. Possibly Elijah but no proof Elijah did.
God walked and talked with Adam and Eve. Enoch walked with God. Moses in scripture above. Elijah went up in a chariot of fire.
So yes I totally believe in the Trinity.
I do not understand it totally but I will when I meet Him.
    1John 3:2 writes:
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
John who wrote this passage saw Jesus. Jesus said if you have seen Me ye have seen the Father. John saw the Holy Spirit when it descended upon the Church prior to Pentecost.
But John had no idea what He will be like when He appears.

Just because I believe it that does not make it true.

Below is an e-mail letter that was sent to a brother on youtube who was working for the cause of God but was slightly astray, God put it in my heart to reach out to him and then also put it in my heart to share it with you all here.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
I want you to understand that God wishes to guide you and has put it in my heart to assist you in your growth as God has been pleased with you. I would like to now ask you a few questions.
I would like for you to tell me what this means to you:
We all know that God knows everything and all secrets in heaven, earth and all that is in between so when Jesus says the verse below is he all knowing?
Mark 13:32"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
I want you to know that I truly love Jesus as well as you do and it is because of my great love for Jesus that I must accept him as The Christ. There is ONLY ONE TRUE GOD. Let's see what Jesus says about this:
Revelations 3:12 Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name
Jesus clearly Worships God and honors his Father who is also Our Father which art in Heaven "Hallowed be thy name" Jesus said that the name of God is hallowed.
Will you now Worship the God that Jesus worships?

    quote:
The Biblical Hebrew word for ”one’ is ”Echad,’ which speaks of a corporate oneness, not merely a numeric count. God, then, is a plural personage, and yet, is still ”one.’ The first evidence of such can be found in the very first book of the Pentateuch, Genesis.
“And God said, let US make man in Our own image, after Our likeness.” -Genesis 1:26
Who is the ”Us’ in this piece of Scripture? We know that angels do not have the power to create, so we can rule them out. We know that man has not the power either, nor was he alive on earth to create himself; so, they too, are ruled out.
For the first time in recorded scriptures, someone is invited to cooperate in creation. "And God went on to say 'Let us make man in our image..." Does this imply a duality of ownership or of creative power? The answer is no, the control remained entirely in God’s hands, as we continue to read "And God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him, male and female he created them"(Gen. 1:26, 27)
From other scriptures we learn that it was the one now called Jesus Christ, in his prehuman existence, was the one used by God as his special creative agent. He, like Wisdom personified, was "the earliest of his(God's)achievements" YHWH as the master worker". He was the Word, through whom all(other) things came into existence". He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation", hence appropriately involved in the creation of man, since humans too were created in God's image.
It may sound a bit harsh but the Trinity concept is a product of religious enterprise pure and simple. There is no mention or support of the concept in the scriptures where it faces numerous hurdles to remain in harmony with the remainder of the scriptures.
Based on my own research, religious doctrines lacking the support of scriptural content inevitably fall into this category. God, Jesus and the holy spirit being conveyed as three distinct entities. God as the father bearing a personal name YHWH, who created His first born Angelic creation(Jesus) and His holy spirit being the invisible force which causes things happen.
For every supporting scripture of the Trinity presented by religious doctrines, there are 20 to contradict it. With only a few scriptures to fall on, this does not good for the Trinity doctrine.
    I call snake oil.

    JW Alert
The Jehovahs Witness belief is that Jesus was the first created thing.
The Orthodox Christian belief is that Jesus was in the beginng with the Father.
Whether Jesus is the character of God (incarnate)in Gods mind, the issue is whether Jesus is a created thought from the mind of God or an eternally expressed personality as a part of God.
The Trinity is confusing at times, unless you realize that you are only dealing with One Spirit regardless. Any other competing "spirit" is merely a human symbol and construct of our own minds...expressed through our religious beliefs.
    God is relational first....definable second.

Jesus clearly Worships God and honors his Father who is also Our Father which art in Heaven "Hallowed be thy name" Jesus said that the name of God is hallowed.
Will you now Worship the God that Jesus worships?
When Jesus came to this earth, He showed us how man is to live when man is in right relationship with God (John 5:19).
Now that Jesus is seated at the right hand of God the Father (Acts 2:33), those who are in right relationship with Jesus love Him, keep His commandments, is then loved by our heavenly Father, and Jesus and the Father make their abode with him (John 14:21 & 23) thru the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).
I like what Phat has said,
    God is relational first....definable second.
I would add, God is definable according to the revelation He has given to us in His Word.
    Blessings
