Parasomnium writes: Are you mispelling my name to annoy me? Or can't you read? Maybe you're dislectic? In any case, here's my advice: cut and paste my name if it gives you trouble typing it. Better still: figure out what it means, that might help you writing it correctly in one go. Now wait a sec, Para, that ain't fair. "Parasomnia" refers to a class of sleep disorders - like sleep asthma, sleep walking, etc. The latinate ending on the term could indicate that you are the vector or causative agent. Somehow I doubt that's what your username signifies. If not, then it's too obscure for someone who writes in random capitals without punctuation - a throwback to pre-Carolingian script. Not fair, I tell ya.

At least the pre-Carolingians knew latin.
Keep guessing.

"... dislectic?"
He does appear to be dyslexic but I hope he doesn't start spelling it the way you did (it was a joke, right?). I haven't bothered to correspond with him because I, A. - barely understand what he writes, B. - am sure the thoughts are not his own, and C. - don't believe he would understand my arguments any better than he understands anyone elses. That said, I must admire the patience of those who have been trying to work with him. But, don't you think it's an exercise in futility? db ------------------Doesn't anyone graduate Sunday School?

A sharp mind you've got, doctor. "But, don't you think it's an exercise in futility?"You may be right. But isn't all of life? Cheers.

Right on the mark, Asgara. I meant it to signify that beside all the religious nonsense, there is another way.
Your prize is... eeuwige roem voor het ontdekken van de betekenis van 'Parasomnium'. You'll have to find out yourself what your prize is, to demonstrate that you are worthy of it. Cheers.

Hi Para,
Bedoelt de eeuwige beroemdheid ik om volledige waarde te ontvangen voor altijd leven moeten? Mijn grammatica is waarschijnlijk zeer slecht, maar ik kan "google" met het beste.
LOL hopefully, I'm not talking gibberish. ------------------Asgara "An unexamined life is not worth living" Socrates via Plato

Asgara, my compliments, you are very resourceful. That alone has earned you your prize. But if someone would say to me what you wrote, I'd arrange an appointment for them with a brain surgeon, to fix some loose connections. Anyway, the translation should have been:
"everlasting fame for discovering the meaning of 'Parasomnium'". By the way, does 'Asgara' mean anything?

Hi Para,
LOL, I figured I might be talking gibberish. That's what you get for using a simple online translator. Asgara is actually my alter-ego on an online role-playing game. (see Crashfrog's thread in the coffee house on video games for a pic)I'm sure it has some meaning somewhere though, I've googled for it and find many references in other languages that make me believe it has something to do with either proper names or place names in Indonesia or maybe in the Muslim world. Maybe one of our Muslim friends here could enlighten me, maybe Andya? ------------------Asgara "An unexamined life is not worth living" Socrates via Plato

my only question to all christians has been asked in other thread, but never answered to my satisfaction.
what if a person of a different religious faith does not believe in the Bible? he has heard of it but does not belive in the Father, the son, the holy spirit? what if he is a true follower of his faith.. a moral, hard working, honest....etc person? if he dies does he go to hell?
