Re: Far Leftism
Where does this notion of someone who's a liberal has to be on the left side of the spectrum come from?
US propaganda.

In the long run we don't have to worry, Democrat woman kill their offspring at a rate of three times that of Republican woman. In
the end we will out populate them.
Your talking about young people who once they grow up look past the TV to see the real world. Who are comfortable enough with technology and globalism to look past their nose to see what is in the best interest for everybody and who vote for Obama over McCain by > 20 points?
Even if your rediculous statistic was true (its not), the evidence seems to indicate that Republican parents are breeding Democratic voters.

Re: Repeating history
The mandate is very important because that is what will keep the conservative democrats in line, especially southern conservative democrats. He may have some trouble on social issues but anyone who has been paying attention noticed early on that Obama wasn't strong on liberal social issues anyway.
The important thing socially will be the protection of the courts.
At any rate, it looks like we are getting some idea of how Obama is going to govern. Rham Emanuel will be his Chief of Staff which means Obama is going to play hard ball.

Care to back that up with actual data? Furthermore, I don't think they're actually killing their children, now are they? I'm pretty sure murder's illegal in the USA. I think you're referring to abortion. Which isn't killing children, it's removing a clump of cells, so there.
It might take some work and some time, but the la-la loonie liberals will lose in the end.
Oh yes, I'm CLEARLY crazy for wanting everyone to enjoy health care.
I can hardly wait to see the responses of the "government is my mommy and daddy" crowd to this post.
The government certainly ISN'T my "mommy and daddy". It should however provide social security for the people it represents. that old "Do unto others" bit I think you might be familiar with.
As an aside, Phat needs Obama, and a mommy and daddy, because I guess he has never grown up.
Nice ad hominem.
Also,do you suppose when Straggler hears an Obama speach he discovers semen running down his leg? I wouldn't be surprised given what I've heard these mindless "ObamaMorons" say.
Somehow I doubt it, seeing as he's from the UK and he strikes me like a pretty rational guy and all. Unlike some of the loony emotion spewers I've seen over on your side.
So Buz, are you going to be an "ObamaMoron", and not worry about having to pay for gas or your mortage because he is going to help you?
I pay for my gas and mortgage, in fact, gas prices here are one of the highest in Europe, I think they should be lowered. And I don't recall Obama promising to pay for them either.
Or will you actually act and think like an adult?
Like you are doing? Then I certainly hope not.
Something greatly missing in this forums participants.
Don't know about the rest of the forum, but there does indeed seem to be something wrong in this post.

Yeah, I've seen the movie: Idiocracy. Where the smart people were too thoughtful about procreation (waiting until they were ready, etc) while the idiots massively outbred them by procreating with anything that moved.

Re: Repeating history
You know, pp1, responding to Buz's OP as if he were making valid observations about Obama isn't exactly doing your credibility any good.
Not that your political opinions had much credibility to begin with, but you don't have to reinforce the notions that you have no more clue about what is going on in the world than Buz does.

Speaking personally, I find few things more awesome than contemplating this vast and majestic process of evolution, the ebb and flow of successive biotas through geological time. Creationists and others who cannot for ideological or religious reasons accept the fact of evolution miss out a great deal, and are left with a claustrophobic little universe in which nothing happens and nothing changes.

Re: Repeating history
Petro, here in Colorado, I noticed all of the sanctimonious church folk who supported McCain because he allegedly was against abortion. They are all liars, because the fact is, you folks just don't want to let go of some of your "hard earned" cash to fix the problems that your greed got us all into!
Maybe I do need to grow up, but were I one of your kids, I am sure you wouldn't leave me a dime anyway!
The people have spoken and its time for the Dems to have another go at it! We need a two party system, or we would all be jackbooting down the street self righteously waving the stars and stripes and further alienating a world who will go on without us if we don't change.

No. I have not had that pleasure as yet.
But I have nearly pissed myself laughing at some of GWBs humiliatingly idiotic and embarassingly bizzarre comments in the past.
I have nearly fallen asleep as I have watched McCain sweat his way though some seriously mind numbing and dribble inducing speeches more recently.
And I would shit myself if a hateful imbecile like you were to be taken seriously by anyone with any actual power.
Does that satisfy your desire to wallow in the full range of human excretions....?

Don't worry, this empty suit will do the same a Clinton did. Try and push his BS agenda, and then we will have a Republican Congress in 2010 just like we did in 1994.
Hi Petro. I grew up at Lander Wy so we have quite a bit in common. Speaking of empty suits, even Tom Brokaw who helped him along to victory has him pegged as some kind of a mysterious creature. The difference in him and Slick Willy is that this global stealth Jihadist is a whole lot slicker and will truly make the whole world a new planet.
Mohammed's vision and mandate for an Islamic world of global government is well on it's way to fruition. Jihadists, global Islam, the Communist Party, black militants and about all of America's enemies were all dancing in the streets along with the political numbskulls here at home when Obamista won.
I'm not at all surprised about all of this. It's all in the Biblical prophecies. That's partly what motivated me to predict Obama as the likely new president way back in Oct/07 in the primaries when all of the pundits had him written off.
In the long run we don't have to worry, Democrat woman kill their offspring at a rate of three times that of Republican woman. In the end we will out populate them.
Well, that's a bloody observation but your valid point is well taken. The same goes with the gays who's lifestyle is dangerous to longevity and produces no offspring.
It might take some work and some time, but the la-la loonie liberals will lose in the end.
There comes a point of no return which brings to mind another prediction. Obama will work tirelessly throughout this first term to eliminate the vigilant talk show sentinels via the so called Fairness Doctrine, to entrench the union thugs via card check to take over the work force and support liberal agendas via union dues, to stack the courts, including the Supreme Court to enforce his agenda, etc, etc. Imo, that point of no return has just passed.
I can hardly wait to see the responses of the "government is my mommy and daddy" crowd to this post.
I've been here at EvC for over five years. It gets lonely here so when folks like you come aboard it's refreshing.
As an aside, Phat needs Obama, and a mommy and daddy, because I guess he has never grown up.
Phat is quite representative of the socialist types here who like to spread the hard earned $$ of the producers and employers to the non- producers and deadbeats who loudly demand the blessings of America without assuming the responsibilities.
Also,do you suppose when Straggler hears an Obama speech he discovers semen running down his leg? I wouldn't be surprised given what I've heard these mindless "ObamaMorons" say.
I have hopes for Straggler. He's an intelligent, energetic and fair minded young man who I have high hopes for if he can break out of the mindset which he has been programmed into.
So Buz, are you going to be an "ObamaMoron", and not worry about having to pay for gas or your mortgage because he is going to help you?
Or will you actually act and think like an adult?
I'm an old school senior of over three score and ten who works for all I get and willingly shares much of the overage with needful folks of my own choosing, many who happen to be oppressed blacks in Africa. (abe: Who knows; perhaps one of them is Obama's impoverished brother in Kenya.)

Well I never expected that.
I think I am destined to disappoint you on this front but I take your comments as a compliment and your faith is genuinely appreciated (even if I think it is misplaced).
Despite our differences I have never doubted the sincerity of your views and no matter how much I disagree with most of what you say I think EvC is a much better place for your presence here. (although I am less ure about your new friend Petrophysics)
Anyhow.... Stay happy. And I really would not worry too much about that Obama led socialist take-over if I were you. It really won't happen.

Re: Repeating history
Hi Buz,
I grew up at Lander Wy
I've been to Wyoming, you know whats a fun thing to do there, pack up and get the fuck out. The place is a bit backwards my friend. I see you are in NY, im sure its not the city though, right? With all them queers and shit!
Mohammed's vision and mandate for an Islamic world of global government is well on it's way to fruition. Jihadists, global Islam, the Communist Party, black militants and about all of America's enemies were all dancing in the streets along with the political numbskulls here at home when Obamista won.
You're not really falling for this propaganda are you? You are just instigating right?
Could I take a stab at guessing your age? +60?
The same goes with the gays who's lifestyle is dangerous to longevity and produces no offspring.
Well, where are they coming from do you suppose? Do you suspect a few may be leaving Wyoming and heading for NY? Perhaps to go on websites and pretend not to be one of those 'gays'?
There comes a point of no return which brings to mind another prediction. Obama will work tirelessly throughout this first term to eliminate the vigilant talk show sentinels via the so called Fairness Doctrine, to entrench the union thugs via card check to take over the work force and support liberal agendas via union dues, to stack the courts, including the Supreme Court to enforce his agenda, etc, etc. Imo, that point of no return has just passed.
So let me get this straight, its the fall of the conservative pundits that will usher in the return of Christ? Damn, I must have read past that part in the Bible. Could you quote chapter and verse for me? Is it in the O'Reilly revelation?
It gets lonely here so when folks like you come aboard it's refreshing.
Lonely? You get more attention than a street hooker, are you serious? Now, that not many share your view may be telling you something.
I'm an old school senior of over three score and ten
That figures!
Now I get it Buz, you're having a senior moment. Well sit down and relax and drink some warm tea, we're sorry there's a darky in the White House, I know you never thought you'd live to see the day but, well, maybe you shouldn't have.
oppressed blacks in Africa.
Wow, wtf?! Are you serious? What did you do in Wyoming, were you the Grand Wizard of some group? How about oppressed Africans, just in case there are a few oppressd 'whities' in there...
For sure! Stick around my friend. Your good types are needed here for some balance.
Well if nothing else for some good comic relief.
