Yes, fallacycop, I see a lot of what you see in SP. But I'm trying to look beyond that as objectively as possible. I don't think she's bad for believing in God. And I don't think she's bad for falling in line with Republican politics. Why is she so bad for disagreeing with your politics?
Here a test for you. Which one on these bad acts was worse than the other: Bumbling Bush leading America in a preemptive attack on a sovereign nation, or the obsequious Democrats who let him do it?

But what was so bad and the Clinton administration? Was it perfect? Fuck no. Did I agree with everything he did? Fuck no. Give me Bill Clinton any day over the assholes we've been stuck with for the last eight years.
Bill Clinton is a stupid man, and he proved it. I don't want to see his sucky face on my TV set anymore. And, for that reason, I'd rather see Sarah in there as Secretary of State than Hillary. But what we're gonna get is Bill Clinton Lite.
Imagine how cool it would be to have Sarah Palin addressing at the UN in a last ditch effort to avert World War III. Could she do any worse than Colin Powell did with his littany of lies?

I don't fault her for those things. I have a lot of respect for Mike Huckabee who is also person of faith who falls in line with most of the Republican politics. But I think Huckabee understands and respects the fact that other people may have different points of view then him, the same way that I respect his points of views. I don`t think Palin respects my points of views.

Re: Sarah and Mission Impossible
Well he WAS great for the economy, he DID create a lot of jobs, he DID keep america protected didnt he? No terror under him.
Besides that, what is your point?
Sarah Palin does not have a very great trackrecord. Sarah Palin does seem foolish when speaking.
Either Sarah Palin is has been guided by a ignorant and foolish campaign, or Sarah Palin herself is ignorant and foolish. I believe the latter.
Wikipedias Sarah Palin article writes:
in 2008 Alaska was still the largest per-capita recipient of federal earmarks, requesting nearly $750 million in special federal spending over a period of two years.
Then theres the whole pipeline thing, the road to nowhere and so forth.

Stupid? Let's see..he attended and graduated from Georgetown, Oxford (as a Rhodes Scholar), and Yale. I'd call him lots of things, but stupid certainly would not be one of them.
What makes him so stupid in your book? The Lewinsky thing? At least he only fucked over his wife. The current administration has fucked over the entire World. Again...I'd take back Clinton in a heart beat over the assholes we have right now.
But just out of curiosity...do you consider "W" to be stupid as well? What about Cheney? Or do you just have a dislike for the Clintons?
FTF writes:
Imagine how cool it would be to have Sarah Palin addressing at the UN in a last ditch effort to avert World War III.
I shudder at the thought. To start with, she'd be too busy winking at Putin to do any good. And when she finally did attempt to speak, the first 15 minutes would be her telling everyone what a great hockey mom she is and how Joe the Plumber would prefer to avoid WW III because doing so would be great for the "Real Americans" out there in "The Real America". And then we'd get a load of crap about how...you betcha... God would be on our side. No thanks.
Oh...and then we'd all probably die in WW III.
FTF writes:
Could she do any worse than Colin Powell did with his littany of lies?
She could...and likely would...do far, far worse. I take it that you don't like Colin Powell either. So again, I have to ask...do you like "W"?...Cheney? They were, after all, the ones that provided Powell with his "litany of lies" and then sent him as their scapegoat to address the UN.
And what about all the other points I raised about your wet dream...Sarah Palin.
It was OK of her to refer to Obama as a guy that pals around with terrorists? It was OK of her to refer to him as a Socialist? It was OK of her to incite the crowds at her rallies to a level of violence never seen before in modern political campaigns? It was OK of her to insult a majority of the Country by referring to certain sections of the U.S. as "The Real America" and that they were the "Real Americans"?
And by doing these things, you consider her to be "refreshing" and "transparent"? Are we talking about the same person here? Sarah Palin...the Governor of Alaska? Maybe you're confusing her with Oprah.

Oh for fucks sake...it's not even close. Blaming the Dems for the war is the absolute dumbest, most fucked-up pile of horse shit ever concocted. Christ...when are "you people" ever going to accept that "W" and his administration are to blame for the cluster fuck in the Middle East? Accept it and move on already.

I didn't say he was dumb. Bill Clinton was stupid for taking all those academic credits you mention and putting them in his blood-engorged cock so that it could get sucked for a blissfull moment by a young intern in the hallway leading to the Oval Office. Not even George W. is capable of such stupidity. And Bill Clinton continues to be stupid when he ignores the fact that many, many of his former supporters await a full disclosure of why and how he thought he could do it and get away with it. His expectation of getting away with it amounts to the greatest act of stupidity ever committed by a POTUS in the White House.
Name one more stupid than that.

We're a tabloid mediocrity, and I think another Great Depression is coming our way to remind us that Natural Selection also works on an economic landscape. And what do you know about Al Franken? Honestly, FTF, do you just say ignorant things like this...or do you believe them as well? You do know that this "stand up comedian" graduated cum laude from Harvard...correct? And since he's not a career politician he an obvious fit for your beloved category of "refreshing"...so what's your beef.
Of course, the more important questions should be "what are his stances on the various issues?" and "what are his qualifications"...but then you don't appear as someone who gives a shit about those sorts of trivial details.
Anyway, he was a Fellow with Harvard's Kennedy School of Government at the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy and he has been to Iraq seven times with the USO. He also shows strong support for pro-choice, gun control laws, same-sex marriage, environmental protections and a more progressive income tax system.
Personally, I think he'd make a great U.S. Senator.

Nixon, watergate?
Of course, if we want to talk dumb presidents, none take the cake perhaps more than those leading up to the civil war who practically let the country tear itself apart and did practically nothing to prevent it. A blowjob versus a civil war, hm. A blowjob versus watergate, hm.
By the way, dumb technically means unable to speak. And I don't think FO was calling you out for saying that Bill can't speak, but for being stupid. Of course, the way you used dumb (in reference to FO's argument that Bill is not stupid) suggests that you use the terms interchangeably. If so, you contradict yourself in the first two sentences of your post.

Like I said previous...at least he only fuck over his wife. George W Bush and company fucked over first, just this entire Country...and now, as it turns out, the entire World. You can give me back "BJ Billy" any day now.
FTF writes:

You cannot be serious. You actually think what Bill Clinton did is far worse (ie "stupid") that anything done by George W Bush? Give me a fucking break!.
Ummmm, let's look at just a few of the "stupid" things that George W Bush has done, compare them to getting a hummer by an intern, and then decide who is the bigger asshole..."W" or Bill.
1. Lying about WMDs
1a. and then lying about the costs of the war.
2. Abu Ghraib
3. Unheard of mid-term dismissals of U.S. Attorneys for purely political reasons.
4. Leaking a covert CIA agent's name (V. Plame)
4a. followed shortly by the Lewis Libby clemency
5. Stem cell research ban
6. Katrina
7. Halliburton contracts
8. Domestic surveillance and "eavesdropping" on our phone calls
9. Accessing Library records to see what books I checked out.
10. Warrantless wire taps and searches (I guess the same as #8, sorry).
11. Lying about the actual costs of his health-care reform package.
11a. and then threatening to fire the guy at the GAO if he
mentions this before Congress gets a chance to vote.
12. His administrations complete bullshit sex education agenda.
13. Continually linking 9/11 to Iraq and Saddam.
14. And what do you think of his latest little stunt? Namely signing into Law (via a signing statement perhaps?) the right of a pharmacist to deny birth control if it's against his religion. UNFUCKING BELIEVABLE!!! Yet he gets away with this shit all the time.
15. Signing Statements.
I have to stop now...every time I think of this stuff...my blood pressure goes up.
FTF writes:
And Bill Clinton continues to be stupid when he ignores the fact that many, many of his former supporters await a full disclosure of why and how he thought he could do it and get away with it.
Wha? "Why and how" he did what...get a blow job? I think most of us got over that a looooooooooong fucking time ago. Oh...about seven years ago, I'd say.
FTF writes:
Name one more stupid than that.
Name one what "more stupid than that"...stupid act or stupid President? Regardless, "W" certainly tops the list of any that includes either "stupid acts" or "stupid Presidents". Of course, James Buchanan is often included on any list of the "worse President ever"...but being worse doesn't automatically make you stupid, I guess . Luckily for "W" however, he fits nicely into either category.
But this is suppose to be about Sarah Palin. And with that in mind, I have to ask for the 3rd time now...did you find her behaviour in the campaign "refreshing"? You know...the whole "socialist, terrorist thing". You found that "refreshing"? You were 'refreshed" by listening to her go on and on about Joe, the "not really a licensed" plumber? And you thought she was "transparent" because she refused to talk to the press?

My point is that the Democrats didn't have the balls (or the ovaries) to hold him in check. I don't blame Iraq so much on Bush as I do the Democrats. I voted for them to ride herd on the Cowboy Republicans. But, instead of that, they went to the bunkhouse and took a nap.
Just watch and see how much social progress in made under BHO. I'm not yet convinced that his fellows Dems have enough guts to be Progressives. It's going to be hard to be Progressive when the wheels are falling off.

Oh, sure, they were stupid, all right. But they had partisan objectives; they were principled by the rules of political infighting. Bill Clinton's only principle, where Monica was concerned, was to receive a quick rush of pleasure and not get caught. He was extra-sneaky stupid. Where's his moral authority after that?

Re: Sarah and Mission Impossible
The 107th Congress voted on the Iraq war. October 2nd, 2002 was the vote. At the time, the 107th Congress consisted of:
Senate:
Democrats: 50
Republicans: 49
House:
Dem: 208+1c
GOP: 222+1c
Here's the vote on the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002:
Senate For/Against:
Dem:29/21
GOP:48/1
Ind:0/1
House F/A
Dem:82/126
GOP:215/6
Ind:0/1
In other words, even if all but a few democrats had voted against the resolution, it still would have passed the Senate, with the GOP needing only 3 votes. Had all the House dems voted against the resolution, it still would have passed (126+82=208).
If you want, I can dig up which democrats in both chambers voted for the resolution and how many of them are still in office. This should be enough, though, to show that the dems didn't cave into to Bush (especially in the House), or that they could have stopped the resolution from passing.
